ideas for projects for the big fans of Zelda in 8-bits

there are 2 games that are practically a new Zelda II and Zelda III with a graphic hack that changes the sprites to Zelda and the texts of the story.

Zelda fans on NES will have a new and better Zelda II / Zelda III with these graphic patches for these 2 RPG games

- Battle Of Olympus ( Zelda II graphic hack )
- Zoda's Revenge: StarTropics II ( Zelda III graphic hack )

Notes of interest =

Zoda's Revenge: StarTropics II was originally the engine for Zelda III cancelled in the late 80s to move the project to the Super NES, later its engine was used to create the game Zoda's Revenge: StarTropics II game exclusively in 1994 for USA market.

Battle Of Olympus was based on the idea of the original Zelda II improving everything in the game, graphics, music and gameplay.

Zelda II - hack sprite / Battle Of Olympus
Zelda III - hack sprite / Zoda's Revenge: StarTropics II

what an amazing project, great job with the music and sfx sounds, congratulations to all the team.

I know there is still time to finish the work of the project in progress, but I hope the same great team of people who make this project possible will accept the challenge to improve this another Street Fighter Zero 97 for NES are the best for this project.

it appears that the project is on hold indefinitely  :(

reasons =
they don't have the equipment or expertise to pull something like this off in a reasonable manner. They are still working on disassembly, but don't expect any construction of the upgrade project anytime soon, if ever.

the solution is to request or ask for all the project progress to this new project thread to continue where the Somari the Adventurer team left off and not to stop the project again or start a new one again is absurd, with the collaboration of the other thread team forever.

otherwise all that work so far on SuperMarioWorld NES will be lost.

I think it would be best to combine both projects with both teams working at different points and complementing each other by sharing and helping each other to overcome any pitfalls.

it is better than separate projects and somari has advanced in his project it would be good to combine efforts.

wario could be replaced by mario in the adventure and be the real Super Mario Land 3.

it would be a very interesting hack to be able to play with mario if possible

it has not been updated for a long time, there is no noticeable progress?  :(

it is one of the best WIP project for NES, to have a port version of Super Mario Word in 8-Bits.

any news about ken's hair ?

this project is becoming more and more spectacular

congratulations

a striking hack to replay this MegaCD or MegaDrive title = Spiderman CD Spider-Man vs. The kingpin

- replace or add the Spiderman sprite for the black suit as an extra option, like the one from the comic hidden in your gallery

I know the project is on hold, but I think a possible name for the full hack was mentioned in the thread

my proposal is = Super Mario Re-drawn Collection

based on the original Super Famicom title

extra article about the project in ( did they know him? )

greetings to all, a small doubt will adapt the 2nd mirror color of the same character as an alternative color of the Champion version? (Dark gray Ryu, blue bandana for example) and eliminate that purple Ryu.

The doubt arose when I saw this capture that shows the original chun li vs against her mirror in red color of the Champion version

also enable the start / select button to choose the alternative Champion color ... it's an idea, what do you think?

I think I remember that he wondered the possibility of being able to change the color of the Hadōken to its pale blue white but it was not possible. :-\

something like ken's blonde hair / head problem, without being ryu's copy

Simple and easy hack for Tetris MD, replace horrible original backgrounds of landscapes and iguanas ...

for backgrounds with MD Sega motifs or early MD titles from the MD / Genesis system.

example link =

Has Customizable Themes MD backgrounds for Tetris MegaDrive / Genesis like in ED-Pro.

I have tried to access the discord channel to see the technical advances of the project, but the invitation appears deactivated. :-\

as an extra off topic = the team called Something Nerdy Studios LLC have created a spectacular new mapper called MXM-0, which takes the Nintendo 8-Bit "NES" to its full power limit, bringing it a little closer to a PC Engine.
