Newcomer's Board / Adventures of link changes

Hi everyone. Still relatively new to this and was working on a AOL hack but I started the base game using the hack aol redux. They made the magic coats less then the original game and I was looking to make it more then the original for some spells for a hard version.

I’ve been using a few utilities to work the game so any explanation on how to change this for a newcomer would be great since I’m not that good at this

Personal Projects / Zelda II overworld utility

Hi guys, I’m working on another Zelda II hack and had a question about Njosro s overworld utility program. In Zelda 2 the northern and southern areas of both Eastern and western hyrule have forced enemy encounters that are different as you progress into different sections of the game. Grass or field in north western hyrule is much different then eastern or southern areas.
My north palace is in the lower section of western hyrule but the enemies in the forced encounters there are much harder then the traditional
Starting point. Although I plan to make the game
Harder then the originall I don’t want this to be a turn off for some players.
Can these encounters be edited in that tool, or another utility on the site?
I’m new at this and really have to stick to the untilites to make games as I’m not great with computers and absolute horrible at writing code 
Any help would be appreciated.

ROM Hacking Discussion / Adventures of link side view editing

Im working on a hack for adventures of link. I’ve had a bunch of setbacks, some of which rendered the game unloads Le. My latest issue is placing locked doors. For some reason I cannot get them to line up with the floor when I place them in some spots. I’m using side view editor and the overworld editor together.
At first I thought it was the floor or ceiling anchors but now I’m not sure. I’ve been able to find suitable spots in other rooms of the palaces during testing but wanted to know if I’m missing something for future reference.

Newcomer's Board / Legend of Zelda

Hi everyone,
I’m new to romhacking. I’m working on my first game of the legend of Zelda. I found some good tools like Zelda dungeon to work with but I’m not sure how to edit the title screen or text for the story line. Any pointers would be great. Thanks
