i would LOVE to have the Legend of Link item rotation (using select to swap out 3 different items)

the sword "swipe" instead of "poke"

the charged spin attack

and a map similar to Legend of Link, maybe show the map when using the warp flute, and make the destinations selectable.

redux on dude!

I think it would be cool if someone made a Super Mario 64 "de-make" out of Super Mario RPG.

Take out all of the RPG elements, maybe add a useable fire flower (wouldnt HAVE to stick to source material one hundo percent)

would be a cool repro too. lol, wouldnt even have to be a SM64 demake, but just a 3/4 isometric "traditional style" mario game

The double jump and fairy are optional patches for those that want to screw around with them :P
As for the OP, I haven't updated it yet, I will wait until those are actually available before I update the OP with new info :)

ok, so those patches aren't even available yet, i was looking for links to them and couldnt find them, so figured maybe the op was updated.

that would be cool, only drain magic while in fairy mode? but then it could be cheesed a little, to get through locks with only a tiny bit of use.

but fairy is neat to help you cross whole rooms that are too hard on enemies and platforming too, so it's a cool idea. i like the idea of dropping out of fairy killing a baddie and popping back in. could make some of the fighting more engaging

but did the o.g. post get updated with that new fairy behavior spell and the double jump spell? i cant seem to find them (sorry if i'm overlooking something in plain sight, btw)

i thought it would be cool to learn double jump from a "move tutor" in a similar fashion to up and down thrust.

and still retain the "jump" spell, but that would kinda make that spell useless and silly (with double jump AND "Jump" spell cast)

but this would probably be better, cause a free double jump would be insta-easy mode.

at least charging a tiny bit of magic to use would stop people from spamming double jump, so it'd be a good balance. i think

(i still think if enemies had rando heart drops that restored a little health would be cool and in-line with the rest of the series, but that would be redundant with magic that does that already and magic drops)

there is a hack that lets you play Story mode in co-op splitscreen on Jet Force Gemini

it is a little cumbersome to set up, and is NOT just a simple patch tho

ps: i love this list, maybe co-op centered hacks should have their own searchable category, (not just "improvement")

just adding a lot more sky and moving the kart down would help a lot

would be cool if a mini-map could still show up (kinda like the "rear view mirror" does with a button press, just have it stay on and show a minimap if possible

i was thinking the same thing, or even smaller. he feels too big in the original too.

i know the smaller he gets the less detailed he is though, but i think it'd be worth the trade-off

and for the folks that think the new Mario sprite caused hit detection issues, try out the vanilla game, it's pretty much just as bad

this is a fun little puzzly game in the same kinda style as the Donkey Kong and Mario Minis games.

very fun, the game deff benefits from having Mario asthetics, i submitted a whole review for this other day, maybe it got lost in the (e) mail somehow,

anyways get it guys and gals!!

i dont really mind the heart staying, 1-ups arent supposed to fall through the ground

and, i am 100% happy with the hack, but a few things i would like,

1. Mario physics to be less sloppy
2. Mario's sprite to be a little smaller to match his hitbox
 yes i realized these ARE in the original, as well
3. replace the annoying hard to use superball with regular fire flowers (and change Mario's color accordingly?)

maybe a "vanilla hack" without changes to the sprites?

idk, Luigi mode and all this stuff seems superfluous really anyway, everyone knows it is 100x better than before

Rainbow Road looks amazing, will be an early downloader for sure.

i like these collaborative hacks, because people work harder to make their levels good

(not that you GREAT hackers dont make great games all the way through A New Journey, Rainbow Realms and 3Mix are Nintendo+ quality)

ok, cool. came here to report west Hyrule overworld music also glitching out/disappearing. 

so it was an issue with the Exp patch. lol yeah i have a rom with maxxed stats too, for a "hyper easy" mode i guess.

lol, so now i have my 5 patches patched and i'm playing great, and from time to time my Exp shoots right up to 9999 when i enter a new screen, is that the "secret" patch?

if not, maybe i patched them in the wrong order, or they are conflicting in some way,

anyways, i LOVE the "new experience" patch so much, with it not constantly popping up on the player, it's so much more freeing

just saw this on page 1

"Make it so Up/Down on the D-Pad moves the fairy cursor in the menus accordingly (File Selection and Elimination Mode). DarkSamus993 is currently working on this."

so (if i am right) all this does is make up and down move the selector (which normally only scrolls in one direction with "select" button)

that's not really that big of a deal really, i am just dying waiting to play around with those "optional" extra patches.
like, we need to be testing those buggers out, lol.

you could make the fish into Cappy? and make Cappy pick up coins and make main player unable to get coins.

i was really hoping for something similar to this

but that is probably nod do-able.

maybe make the Betty have to not touch enemies? even if she cant kill them they could still kill her?

could she shoot fireballs?

this is very promising, reminds me of the player 2 character in Jet Force Gemini

i would like to check out each update too. just to play around, but i want the optional patches too!

a patch that mirrors the game from beginning to end made a LoZ1 playthrough into a totally new experience, perhaps one for AoL-Redux could work?

if, and only if, you change all the references to temples/palaces uniform, i like the idea of them being called Temples all except the Great Palace, which in think should stay TGP.

it set's it apart from the others, and leaves it special.
