i wish someon would ad d-pad movement to Sonic Chronicles on the DS, it works terrifically for the 2 Zelda's that originally had stylus only controls

it is a fangame/mod of OoT (with 64DD enhancements i think, but works on an Everdrive) kinda interquel game between OoT and MM, i have it on my Everdrive but i dont recall where i got the patch,

but it really should have an entry on this site, which it doesnt. (maybe the confusion with 64DD rom vs. a normal n64 rom?)

anyways, it's a short little game (2-4ish dungeons i think) i watched a review on YouTube (one of those probably had a link to the patch, but may have been taken down?)

am super considering a whole runthrough of OoT and MM again since the AWESOME Redux patches got released (   )    and gonna play Dawn and Dusk between them (as intended)

check it out! if you can find it, it's super worth it

someone needs to get this and make a patch out of it

for this site

ps. dont ask me why i am not do it, i am an elderly. and as such have no knowledge of what a "dischord" is

a mere apprentice, you are not. when it came down to it, you didn't just TRY you did it.

anyways here is a patch you should apply to your rom before you play ( )

this adds a lot of "quality of life features" to the game. namely having masks permanently mapped to the d-pad so it frees up some item slots (among other things)

anyways, i fully recommend it

one issue is that the rom you have is in .n64, and all the patchers i know like them to be in .z64 whis you need the tool64.exe thing to convert them

it isn't as simple as just renamin the .n64 file, anyways that was a issue i had on some n64 roms

this is 99.9% perfect, but i have 3 tiny suggestions.

make D-pad up avtivate the bunny hood, make the bunny hood imediately borrowable from the mask salesman, make bunny hood equipable for adult Link.

that would be awesome, anyways i highly recommend this hack for anyone who want to do a playthrough of OoT, (MM has one too, also A+)

thats interesting, another way to go (which may be 100x harder to implement, idk) and would be useful for all point and clicks on the system, and interesting.

add zapper functionality, would be especially great for emulators on the Wii that use the wiimote or a touch screen

so GOOD, RR1 was a masterpiece, this is looking like one as well.

i love how the themes of the worlds permeate every level, the color scheme and art-style just make RR1 one of the ELITE SMB3 hacks as far as i'm concerned. maybe even better than 3Mix for me.

GREATLY looking forward to this.

i've done it in emulator on Android (my GPD XD+) but cant force Dpad lef and Dpad right to the right stick, like i would like, but i do force it to the face buttons, and play them that way.  was just thinking it would be better for the Everdrive users that have real hardware to play that way.

here's another suggestion, someone do this ( ) for OoT. i know they just used the randomizer to make a "better" base/vanilla game, but i cant get the OoT randomizer to keep in the cutscenes, (which i actually DO want to see in my playthroughs, lol Esp. if i'm on my GPD XD+ where i can use fast forward)

but anyways. live long and ROMHACK ON

how about hacks for the GBA FPSs that add "dual analog" controls

dpad would be forward/backward and strafe, B and A would be turn, and L would be action, run, open reload (whatever the extra function would be) and R would be shoot

would be awesome for me, not that GBA FPSs are really any good anyways.

Aria of Sorrow, just barely edges out SotN for me, with Dawn in there behind.

i have been playing Timespinner, a new Castle-esque game, very great.

later GBA games have a GameBoy Player mode that only activates on a GBP (on a GameCube) and the palette is totally different

so the color corrected SMB3 GBA patch just forces GBP mode to be on. maybe not too much work involved there, but i'm not sure ToP has a GBP mode

i think a set of simple (simple) QoL improvement patches would be greatly appreciated for OoT and MM

i mean just Steel boots on dpad up and ocarina on dpad down for OoT
and Transformation masks on dpad l, r, and up and ocarina on dpad down for MM

that would be enough for me to love.

the frustrating part is it has already been done

( )

i am just too hacking illiterate to figure out how to apply simply (simply)

with a simple (simple) patch.

since nesrocks won't "toot his own horn" i'm here to do it.

you can basically look at his "contributions" section in his profile and do a whole video on that...

another one to check out is (ShadowOne333) and his "ReDux" series

but he generally does well-liked games

i fully agree on that one!!

i have always wanted to play Doki Doki Panic in it's original form, but the no run button just killed it for me.

also, while on the subject of Mario, we were talking about a full SMB1 re-make in SMB3 the other day, using different styles and themes to recreate all the levels from SMB1 in SMB3, well i found this hack on here that i'm getting ready to try out.

it seems to be exactly what hack i was thinking of for SMB1, but re-did in SMW (but SMB3 style)

they even re-did the Lost Levels (J-SMB2) too!

maybe even keep the new boss-fight from SMB2, because isn't one of the bosses in DDP just a repeat of another, like 2 tryclydes and no clawglip? i think they did that.

awesome, i thought Gemeni abandoned it and ResidentEevee and him (or her) had a falling out.

still, i really think that slowing down time and being able to replay days would help 1000%

is there a blog or something with updates? or a ETA for release, cause it is pretty dang close as-is

someone needs to finish the Mizzurna Falls translation, and while your at it, add a way to restart each day, a la Deadly Premonition or Majora's Mask

actually, if you could slow the in game clock to be about half as fast would be wonderful.

it's a travesty that the game isn't as well known as it is.

i was hoping the "leaked" 0.8 patch was basically done, but released "as-is" to get around some kinda issue with releasing, but it actually is unfinished

menu options the text don't work correctly and some people you talk to have endless garbled text and the only way to escape is to load a previous save state.

menus are like this.

Do you want a sandwich? Yes No

where they should be

    Do you want a sandwich?

it's bearable so far, but i'd really like to see this thing polished up (especially with all the work ResidenEevee went through to translate it)

and especially if the clock could be slowed down like in Majora or chapters (days) could be replayed like in Deadly Premonition.

i think it would be neat to have the title screen curtain come up and introduce each new stage. like opening onto a stage

raised rupees does not hurt. i might actually be able to let the arrows fly willy nilly now

i would switch to the bow when it's needed and switch right back (as to not use up rupees)

i also never use bombs

-i would like a patch that worked like ALBW and have bombs/arrowa and other consumables on a gauge that re-fills (tho i suppose i could just use an infinity cheat)

but anyways i dont see an issue with having 999 rupees

oops,  i was replying to nesrocks about SMB3 with SMB1 levels idea

i've never come across one in my travels either. there is hacks that add bouncy physics and SMB3 "style" graphics to SMB1 though

but, that would be SO COOL to have like, every level be based on SMB3 assets, like actually have grass land and every land (obvi, Wet land wouldnt be world 3, just the water stages, and giant land would have to not have giant enemies)

so like 7-1, 7-2, 7-3, and 7-4 would all have like pipe themed, world 8 would be dark land,

use fortress assets every so often, this would be so RAD. heck if there was 32 different level types in SMB3 (i'm guessing it's pretty close right?) you could have a SMB1 experience with 32 different "styles" or whatever in a row

lol, sorry this excites me so much
