After eyeing on this thread for a couple of months since the release, congratulations and all. (Woot! Like the guy above, I'm months late congratulating you, LOL.)

Never knew unlicensed, ripped-graphic, ripped music etc. game would be so good! I have been playing this on the PC and the PSP... so guys... I'm kinda interested in another game by ChuanPu Tech. made, here have a look at this: http://www.romhacking.net/trans/965/

Hope you consider this game too, it looks cool and kind of better... I dunno till we get this game blessed in the holy light of English.  ;D

Congratulations, I was trying this on my cousin's DS and what a quality translation.

Any other NDS projects do you consider besides Tales titles?

23
Trying this out now.  :)

Both the game and translation was surprisingly good, save except for that missing E and various errors posted above, but that doesn't matter now, can be remedied by another follow-up patch....

Haven't got any far yet, but I'll try to finish it cause I have a thing for dungeon crawlers and the likes.

And sorry to be an impatient bastard, but aishsha, how's Glory of Heracles going?
It's all in DvD's hands right now. He's testing the game and tweaking its battle system. Translation is finished and from time to time, I translate the manual for that thing.

Oh, okay.

I'm relieved, 95% already, once this is finished there are 2 more games in the series that needs an English blessing.

Do i need to play any of the other games that came before this to be able to understand this one or is it a stand alone in the series

According to this Wikipedia article some games are different with each other, but some are linked, but I assume that you can understand the story of the game w/o playing the games before it, it wouldn't be translated if you can't understand the story of this game at all.

I just hope that someone will have the guts to translate the 8 remaining games in the series...

Edit:
The game's size is freakingly huge and so is the update and English patch, I will have to wait for a while to play this game (with a crappy Internet Connection  :P), I just can't wait those screenshots are really teasing me.

It's not only PC98, but many other consoles as well. And yeah - it's one of the series.

Thanks, I'll check those other Farland games on the said consoles and try this game out later.

27
Does this game have any connections with the Farland Story series of games for the PC98 or is it just a coincidence?

Who said anything about a different translation? We just dropped Atlus's text into the game. It's getting tweaked here and there for when things get particularly awkward, but otherwise it's pretty much the same. It's actually blisteringly accurate, just generally poorly written and researched.

Oh, I see... I thought Atlus was one of those companies like Square who butcher game scripts... But then again, you said Atlus' translation of the PSX version is accurate but was poorly executed and that you dumped the text on the SNES version and tweaked them there?

That clears it up for me and can't wait for a release and try this out.

Quick question... You said this game is best played with bsnes, which apparently I'm using on my cousin's dual-core MB, will this also work with ZSNES, SNESGT or the latest Snes9x?

The thing is, with any emulator other than BSNES and SnesGT, Save RAM is faulty, so if you can cope with just savestates, you're free
to use whatever you wish. This is a game inherent problem and has nothing to do with the patch.

Well then, thank you.

Ive played the playstation version of this, is that version pretty much a carbon copy of this except for the load times?

Oh yes, but I think the SNES version is better w/o the PSX version's loading times, plus an accurate translation.  ;)

Thank you very much. To answer the question of what's next, that all depends.
As it stands now, it can be Chaos Seed which is in ok condition. A rough draft has been done on the text but the menu system is the sickest I've seen in a while. If this game is not next then it can be another game that's about done but it's not my place to mention that one. :)

Okay can't wait for that as well, I hope the other one is Burning Heroes.  :)

Congratulations & よくできました!

I just checked out the game and your translation in about 30 minutes of gameplay. So far so good, there's seems to be no problem.  ::)

Thank you to you guys and keep it up.

And BTW, now that this is done, I'm sure you guys are ready for another game to see the light of day in English, so what's next for us to expect from you?

34
Never mind... I got through it, silly me  :-[

Thanks for mentioning GameFaqs too, I browsed there a couple of days ago and I didn't noticed that there are FAQs/Walkthroughs there... Good thing, there is now.

Cheers!

I'm quite enjoying myself through the game, but now I'm sort of stuck somewhere, where's a walkthrough?

Thnx, I'll take this as a Christmas present!

Never expected you guys at DQ Trans. would work on this. I loved Heracles II, playing III even rockZ! Waiting for IV to be finished too though...

Good Job and Have a <insert alcoholic beverage here>

Putting this on my friends Wii along with several translated Famicom and regular NES games, the Virtual Console is bullshit if you're looking for some quality J games like these.

39
This will be the very first Brandish game I will play too, thanks.

Wow, congrats to the Mother 3 Trans, 1 year old already?
Time really does come fast. And the next update was a long wait, but hopefully worth it.
