Gaming Discussion / Re: Gamers beware! We are the door to hell!

I'm going to be honest, I read the entire article and I have to say that this is a ******* waste of my time and it really gives us romhackers (and gamers in general) a bad image!

Just because we hack/mod games, we're automatically criminals. This is blasphemy.

Sorry for the rant, but it really pissed me off.

Gaming Discussion / Game Breakers
« on: April 15, 2017, 01:08:35 am »
These are the most overpowered weapons, abilities, characters, items, tactics, etc. in gaming history.
They're best know for utterly shatter the difficulty of a game, making it too easy.

I know some examples, like Assassins in FFTA, the hammer suit in SMB3, Meta Knight in SSBB, Orlandu in FFT, the cape in SMW, among others.

And yours? Do you know some Game Breakers that I don't? Feel free to share your opinion.

Well, videogames help me with programming, mathematics, anger control, among others.
Heck, even with just playing, I'm already creating a project that helps disabled people, and I hope that overplaying Mario Kart finally helps me conquer my fear of driving.

Imagine a Melee tournament where they ban GCN controllers and only allow the mouse.....

After so much trial and error, I finally got what I desired! The White Mage (and the White Wizard) now show the correct colors on her hair and her robe:
Thank you Disch .

Well, for me at least, the GCN controller is the correct way for playing Smash Bros.

Then I guess FFHackster can't do it. Well, let's see what I can do with a hex editor. I'll post later how it went.

The stuff you upload to scratchpad is visible to you and RHDN staff, but nobody else.

Scratchpad exists as a temporary buffer for site submissions -- not as general hosting.
Thanks for saying this, I've already replaced the Scratchpad links with a imgur hyperlink. They should be visible now.

EDIT:  Regarding your image... I don't think you can use the scratchpad to host images for sharing on the forum.  Use a hosting site like or imgur
I'll PM you the images, so you can see what I mean while I try to fix them (They look correctly for me at least...).

I wanted to edit the graphics for this hack for personal use, such as giving a new sprite for the White Mage (and the White Wizard). However, while her battle sprites look as intended, her overworld sprite looks as this:
How do I make her hair color and the trims on her robe look red instead of white?
Same for the White Wizard (her hair color displays correctly, but the trims are white instead of red).
I've tried using FFHackster by the way.

P.D.: Grond, if you are looking at this, I'm asking for permission to modify the graphics on your hack for personal purpose only. I'm not going to submit this, but any help from your part would be appreciated!
EDIT: Since nobody can't see the images, I'll just add hyperlinks to imgur.

I hope Secret of Mana Collection comes to western shores. It would let me play legally the Mana series ;).

Here we'll discuss the games on the Super Smash Bros. series (from 64 to SSB4 onward).
Fangames and mods also count (SSF2, SSBC, Project M, etc.).

Final Fantasy for the NES (especially when taking the solo thief run).
Also, SMB: The Lost Levels and Kaizo Mario are the bane of my existence (Too many invisible blocks.....).

So, any progress on the fix?

It's no surprise at this point, but somebody forced the NES Classic to run Retroarch, giving it the ability to run other system's games, ranging from SNES, Sega Genesis, Gameboy, and even N64:
I'm already sastisfied with just NES games on the system (even ones you unofficialy add), making it run Retroarch it's overdoing it, and kinda ruins the charm of it.

I've played this game yesterday, and I'll easily say that this game deserves it's "Nintendo Hard" Title: Pac-Mania.
Sure, you can jump, giving some advantage against ghosts, but it doesn't matter, because you're dealing with eight ghosts instead of four. The green and the gray ghosts are the most dangerous (especially the gray one) since green ghosts jump at the same time you do, but only slightly lower than you (if your timing is right, you can jump over green ghosts), and gray ghosts can jump too, but this time, they can jump the same height as you (try jumping over grey ghosts, it's guaranteed that you'll lose a life) making them a real threat, especially when ghosts start swarming you, giving little to no time how to react properly (most notably on Jungly Steeps, the last world in the game).

The camera angle doesn't help either, since it's always fixed, you cannot tell if a ghost is approaching you (especially on the GBA version, with it's small screen) making you wish they could include a minimap or something.

If a game deserves to share the title of "Hardest game ever made" alongside Ghost and Goblins, then Pac-Mania certainly does.
