Concerning the "new" Final Fantasy VII retranslation (=the Steam PC translation hacked into the PSX version), has anyone compared it to the 2016 retranslation already out there?

Sorry for necrotizing this but I thought it might still be interesting enough. I have just googled for powerk + kmt because it didn't work on my powerpak with original firmware 1.05 and landed here. It works now with the method you explained, thx a ton! :)

Thank you very much for your work on this "lost" series, I enjoyed every part so far. Though it really is ultra kawaii to the chance of getting caries, I guess it doesn't hurt your teeth too much if played every so often  ;)

What a nice looking RPG, I think this will be a real treat many thx for this.

Well, I have to confess the popularity of "Touch" is lost on me as well. One of the most booooring generic sports anime I ever watched, maybe the manga is better, I dunno. Obviously I'm not compatible with japanese mainstream on that matter.  :P

Playing a game like this makes me wish people weren't so hung up on primitive 3D graphics during the PS1 era because the 2D games like this are without question some of the most beautiful entries the system has to offer.

Totally agreed. PS1 era 3D graphics didn't age well, while beautiful 2D art is somewhat timeless.

Many thx for this, guys. I love wizardry style dungeon crawlers to the death, I always envied the japanese having a continuation to that great series.  :woot!:

Well, according to "the Internet" The Legend of Sword and Fairy is the most popular chinese RPG ever made, I'm very interested to check that out.

Bregalad, if you're nitpicking at least do it right  ::) Mandarin (and cantonese etc.) are different SPOKEN languages. What matters here is if they translated into traditional or simplified chinese WRITTEN languages. Today, most spoken languages which we summarize under "chinese" are written in the simplified chinese characters as enforced by the communistic party ruling mainland china. Before that they used what is now called traditional chinese. In Hong Kong, where people speak cantonese, they still write in these traditional characters, not sure about Taiwan and Singapore.

Nice work guys. At least the unconnected PC Version stands up well to the Ultima games of that time (late 80s) from which it clearly drew its inspiration.

Like the rest, I was just browsing through the list when suddenly WAIT, WHAT?! ROMANCING SAGA?!  ;D That said, the other translations are terrfiv enough in their own right. That Saturn brawler sure looks nice, and I'm always happy for another DS detective adventure.

I'm really glad to see the  Xak 1 translation being released to the public, being commercialy released ages ago (and one of the first fantranslation ever IIRC).

I love oldschool rpg, I love Wizardry. Well, in a nostalgic sense at least, playing the old parts in the series up to 4 really is a chore. I always wondered how the Japanese spin-offs compare, so many thanks for this.

Thanks for this, great work. And it would be really nice to have some kind person take on a sram hack.  ;)

Ah, thanks. I remember now, I have done this in the past with other patches for SNES games. It's usually mentioned in the included readme, which this patch doesn't have.

First time I can't get a translation patch to work. It's the Treasure Hunter G translation by metalhawk and obsolete, the hosted beta 2 that is. I have the rom mentioned with the right checksum, I tried applying the patch with Floating IPS and Ninja 2.0. I tried the newest available versions of zsnes, higan and snes9x, always black screen. :o Anyone has better luck than me?

Of coooouuurse! ;) On this day of the year all kinds of stuff gets released, I wonder why.

So.....nopr0n visual novels are ok for the db?

Great translation, ROLW being one of my favoured anime. Whew, first I was shocked when reading the news, I  chatted once with her on IRC back in the days. I'm glad she's still alive and sound.
