Personal Projects / Re: Zelda 2 for GameBoy - Missing Link

Everything looks great and I love this idea. It's really one of the more unique ideas I've seen in a while.

My only criticism is that I feel like Link's sprite needs some work. In the color pic you just posted, the king and Zelda look well done, but there are parts of Link that need a little refining, particularly his arm (it looks fat and stiff) and his standing position (pictured) looks too much like a half walking position.

One of my biggest complaints with HM is the overworld editor is in 32x32 chunks. Every other editor is 16x16, and it's seriously frustrating to be limited by set blocks of 32x32. Dungeons freaking out is also :banghead: annoying.

It seems like there's not any good editors for a top down SNES action adventure game, which is unfortunate, especially since it's freaking 2016! SOMEDIT is maybe not dead. Hyrule Magic is dead as far as development goes, and is pretty frustrating for a lot of people, but at least GaiaTheCreator looks really promising!

If there was a good, well working, well supported Z3 editor, I think we'd see some fantastic hacks. I'd love to see a community like SMWcentral but for Z3, people making new sprites, new patches, fun adventures, etc. exists, but it'll never reach its potential with the tools we have now.

MathOnNapkins, please save Hyrule!  ;D

Hacking this game will never be easy....

A finished version of Black Magic wouldn't hurt.

Man, that looks really nice! Great job!

But you might want to think about that name. There's already an almost completed hack already using that title.

Excellent! Will we be able to edit the sprites, as well?

Maps and sprites are now displayed in the editor!
I will soon release a new version of the editor where you will be able to edit the maps. More infos as usual in the blog:
