Script Help and Language Discussion / Re: Script Depository?
« on: March 16, 2016, 02:08:15 am »
I tried to by following some documents on the site, but I'm still completely new to it. After I put the translated script in stuff starts to break. I'm still trying but I am not sure if I will get the hang of it before giving up.

I meant more for scripts that I have translated that have not been translated before. Is there any place for those?

Script Help and Language Discussion / Script Depository?
« on: March 16, 2016, 12:15:06 am »
Is there any site related to romhacking that holds translated and untranslated scripts of games? I was wondering because I have been bored recently and decided to study by dumping and translating scripts for about 3 games. Is there a place I can put the scripts so if someone eventually wants to do a full hack they can just pull the script?

Oh... I don't play too many Nintendo first-party games so that part kind of flew past me. My bad.

...So just because 1 person is screwed up, an entire team of over 80 people as a whole is fucked? I could see someone applying that same way of thought to this forum's community.

Yeah, people are over reacting over the skinship system, which according to Nintendo is "not inappropriate" to Japanese audiences (That doesn't mean it is not seen as odd.) What people should be pissed about is the sub-par writing in the series. And for the dual audio, why do people want to hear something they do not understand? I never really got that. Unless the voice acting is trash, which wouldn't surprise me.

Check out the documents section. There is a lot of great guides in there. As far as the translation goes, there is usually someone on RHDN willing to help. If you do get the script dumped, you can send it my way if you like.

Snes9x creates a folder called SPCs. This is on Windows though.

It looks like crap and runs terribly, but it seems cool.
You can find it on www.3dnes.com but it requires firefox.
Estimations for how long it takes before Nintendo's legal team shuts them down?

I usually make a challenge for the game. I recently tried going through MGS4 again with only melee and tranquilizer, it put another 10 hours into it.

I got my first Super Famicom... yesterday. Stupid RCA cables I got don't work, though. I had hoped to buy my Super Famicom on the 21st to celebrate the anniversary, but the store I went to was sold out. I have a pile of games here, ready to go.

doesn't the N64 and Gamecube use the same connection as the SNES? you could try those if they are laying around.
