The file needs to be compressed to one of the accepted file types. I use 7zip (.7z).

*Facepalms* I cant believe i didnt think of that. Its right there in my face lol. Thanks man.

Did you try click the "URL Only" part? I think you can upload it there.

Nah cant upload IPS files there apparently. Seems to be for text files and such.

No no no, no ROMs. Download Lunar IPS and make a patch by providing the program with the original ROM and then your new ROM, then you can upload the .ips file generated.

Ok thanks. I did that but now im not sure what to do to submit it... under ''File name'' its asking me for a url. Do i have to upload it to a file sharing site??

I'd like to help and be part of hacking community, but I'm busy. What I've found so far in Lv 2 spikes:

They're background (not sprite).

RAM Address is 0154, 0156, 0158

They still hurt if you frozen address memory. So about the part to "remove" I'm not sure. Can you alter background sprite look like spike and make them disappear or made into something else? I was gonna try find way to remove the hurt part. Maybe I can look into it tomorrow.

Can you provide savestate on level 6? (bizhawk emu)

Thank you for your interrest and for willing to help. The problems i had were actually resolved and im currently working on the final touches.

Sorry to say, but I don't have the skills necessary to do this for you. But, I do want to say, I loved the first Castlevania and this looks really good.
No joke. I am really excited to play this, hope you are able to finish it

I'm currently working on it , the problems i had were resolved so expect a release within 1-2 week(s).

I'm currently working on a Castlevania rom hack. I was supposed to get help from someone about this but the person has not replied to me in nearly a month.I'm pretty eager to get this finished and released so thats why im asking for help here.I'm asking because i honestly have no clue how to do this. The programs i use to modify the game wont let me do this.

The project is just about done however theres 2 things that i would like to be removed from the game before releasing it. Anyone familiar with the first castlevania will remember those moving spikes in level 2 (moves up and down). I'd like to have those removed.

Second thing is in level 6 there is one of those ''pressure sensitive'' areas that you walk on and makes a flashing bag of money pop up. I'd also like to have this removed. If anyone has the abilities to do this it'd be greatly appreciated.I will put your name in the credits if you'd like. The game features new graphics , new sprites , new music and new stage designs.

Heres some screenshots of the game :

Lol. I wouldnt even pay 1$ for this , let alone 55. What the hell were they thinking? I mean not only is it way overpriced , but its also really lame. A rythm game where you're managing a girl band that look like dolls? (might i add with most likely annoying high pitched japanese-ish voices)  Lolwtfman. And to think some grown men or even just males actually want to play this is both astonishing and disconcerting. I should also add pathetic. Everything about this makes me cringe.

This past saturday i had one my best hauls in a while ''rarity-wise''.I picked up Baseball Stars 2, Widget , The Krion Conquest , The addams Family , Tecmo World Wrestling , Snoopy's silly sports spectacular , Bart VS the space mutants  and Adventure Island 3 on the NES. I also picked up a complete in box/factory sealed CastleVania Bloodlines on Sega Genesis. They arent super rare titles but they arent that common either. Some of them are not easy to find in the wild.

My most recent gaming purchase was 6 games , Far Cry 3 for PS3. Then on NES , M.C Kids , Legends of the diamond ,  Rainbow Islands , Trog! and a 110 in 1 Multicart.

I'd have to say games where you have only 1 life or no continues. Also bad controls , that kills it for me.

I have a really cool idea for a castlevania hack  but it would requires changes that i am not able to do. I'm not telling any details because i dont want my idea stolen. :P

I agree that theres games out there that are too hard , but i personally would not put Batman in this category. Well... Maybe for the last boss. I can get to him relatively easily but the last boss is alot harder than anything else in the game imo.

I don't know a whole lot about rom hacking apart from graphics and sprite editing so don't take my word for it . but for what you want to do , it seems to me like you'd have to learn hex editing.
