Sonic 3/& Knuckles/Complete (Genesis): A hack that would give Tails a more legit looking S3 style sprite sheet:

Metroid: Zero Mission (Game Boy Advance): A hack that would make Crocomire a miniboss in Norfair.

Pokemon Yellow (Game Boy): A hack that would give all the Pokemon their backsprites from the Pokémon Gold and Silver 1997 Space World demos and another hack that would restore the original Japanese dialogue for the Old Man as well.

Resident Evil (GameCube): A hack that would give Chris eight item slots instead of six.

Help Wanted Ads / [Graphics] [GBA] Final Fight One Redux
« on: February 11, 2020, 09:07:31 am »
Hi everyone,

I need help on my Final Fight One Redux hack, you check it out here:

I need help on replacing some of the compressed graphics with new ones that me and a couple other people created for my hack, because I have no idea on how to do it myself.

I did tried, but I couldn’t figure out how to use some of the tools that are available on here.

That’s why I’m looking for someone that’s a expert on inserting graphics to a GBA ROM, to help on adding the new ones to my hack.

If you are a expert on this type of stuff, send me a PM and I’ll show you the new graphics that I want you to replace the old ones with.

If someone can help me on this, that will be great.

I think both SMB3 & SMW have enough levels, you don't want to make them too long.

The hack I want to see for SMB3 is one that will give Luigi his own set of sprites instead of sharing Mario's.

Same here, that was the thing I did not like about HSF2, the AI is way too cheap.

I wish there's a way to give the AI the same behavior the other console ports of SSF2T have, where you can actually beat the game without any problems.

Because I remember in the Saturn & GBA ports, the AI was a lot easier than its arcade counterpart.

I want something similar like this to be made for both the Dreamcast & PSP ports of Darkstalkers Chronicle, where the AI always chooses the default colors for the fighters and the colors of the background stages are reverted back to their default ones instead of always using the alternate ones.

The default colors for the background stages are in those ports, but they're hidden.

I would like to see a hack for Golden Axe 1 that adds these improvements from Golden Axe 2 to it:

The ability not to use all your magic.
The ability to throw your enemy any direction and if you throw them at another enemy, they can get hurt as well.
Your animal companion goes through a enemy when it does its running attack.

What's funny is I was working on a restoration hack for both international versions of Dracula X as well, the only things I was able to restore is the red blood for both Richter & Death and the original sprite for the cross weapon.

Just like you, I'm having problems restoring the tombstones, Death's original defeated animation and the cross weapon sprite icon that appears in Richter’s life bar, I have no idea where they are in all three ROMs.

@Nightshift Nurse

I did some improvements to the Japanese version of Final Fight 2, I changed the numbers of lives you start with up to 8, changed Rolent's name to Rolento, changed the colors of his uniform to his FF1 colors, fixed up the text for some of the items and the format of the time shown on the names of the stages.

The only things I can't do is change the cut-scene text to English and change "YOU ARE SUPER PLAYER!" to "YOU ARE A SUPER PLAYER!".

Here's other PSX games you might like:

All Japan Pro Wrestling: King's Soul
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Darkstalkers 3
Duke Nukem: A Time to Kill
Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown
Earthworm Jim 2
Final Doom
Gex: Enter the Gecko
Gran Turismo 1 & 2
Intelligence Qube
Jumping Flash 1 & 2
Medal of Honor
Medal of Honor Underground
Medievil II
Metal Slug X
Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit
Norse by Northwest
Pitfall 3D: Beyond the Jungle
Pocket Fighter
Quake II
R4 Ridge Racer Type 4
Rival Schools 1 & 2
Robotron X
Rouge Trip: Vacation 2012
Spider-Man 1 & 2
Street Fighter Alpha 3
Street Fighter EX2 Plus
Strider 2
Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
Tail Concerto
Tempest X3
Thrill Kill
Thunderforce V
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1, 2 & 3
Toukon Retsuden 3
Twisted Metal 2
Virtual Pro Wrestling
WWF Smackdown! 2: Know your Role

I would like to see a hack for Wave Race 64 that adds the improved soundtrack from the Shindou edition to the original version.

I also would like to see a hack for Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire (N64) that adds the improved sound effects & music from the Japanese version to the American version as well.

I want to see a small hack for the Japanese version of Final Fight CD that adds the animated backgrounds for stage 3 & 4 from the American version to this version.

But I have a feeling that they are in this version, the coding for them may have got messed up during the development.

If they are in there, is there a way to fix the coding and get them to work?

Any plans on restoring the Cyberdemon and the Spider Mastermind?

Snatcher (Sega CD): A hack that will decensor the game to make it look more like its PC Engine CD counterpart.

Final Fight CD (Sega CD):

A hack that will add all this stuff to the international versions:

Pyron's color hack.
Make his color hack work on the cut-scenes.
Decensor everything.
Restore the blood.
Redub all the cut-scenes with better voice actors.
Restore the missing ending cut-scene where Cody is talking to Guy from the Japanese version.
Fix any spelling errors in the text.

They're probably going to have a Nintendo Direct either before Christmas or after New Year's, that's where they might announce a new character for SSBU.

I can't believe that Resident Evil 2 & The Untitled Goose Game didn't win any awards.

I'm just glad that Death Stranding didn't win every single award.

I really hope they do add Beaker into The Untitled Goose Game as a DLC character, it would be awesome to terrorize the townsfolk with him.

Earthworm Jim 2 (Sega Saturn)

A hack that will add these fixes to it:

Fix the pitch of the "Oh!" voice clip that both the grannies & the sheep enemies uses, the pitch is way down for some odd reason. While in the PSX port, it has the correct pitch.
Change the music track for the ISO9000 level to the one that is used in the Lorenzen's Soil level.
Give Jim his correct climbing across sprites, they used the ones from EWJ1 in this port for some odd reason.

Go to offset 1B9DB and change the hex value to CD.

This will give you infinite time in that game.

Thanks. Yes, I'm thinking about including it as a optional patch that will change the colors of the title screen and a few other things.

I changed the colors of the Super Ghouls'n Ghosts title screen to the ones from the arcade Ghouls'n Ghosts title screen:

After watching Did You Know Gaming's recent video talking about censorship in GameCube games, I would like to see decensor hacks for these games:

Chibi Robo: Restore the original appearance of the Free Rangers.
F-Zero GX: Restore the original post game interviews.
Pikmin 2: Restore the original price for the Silencer item.
Pokemon Colosseum: Restore Rui's original appearance.
Resident Evil: Restore the decapitation death animations from the Hunters that Capcom removed from all versions.
Super Smash Bros. Melee: Restore the original Motion-Sensor Bomb & Topi trophies along with the Tamagon trophy. Including restore the missing Japanese voice tracks for Fox, Falco & Mewtwo as well.

Aladdin (Genesis): A hack that will add all the Final Cut content from the recent port of it to the original Genesis ROM.

OutRun (3DS & Switch): A hack that will restore the original Ferrari Testarossa car.

Space Harrier (32X & Sega Saturn): A hack that will add the exclusive Haya-Oh boss from the 3DS & Switch ports to them.

This is pretty cool, maybe for the next version, can you try and restore Dr. Light's unused track?
