I would like to see a hack for Yoshi's Story where instead of playing one level of each page, you play all four levels of each page and at the end of the fourth level of each page, you fight one of the four bosses from the sky and snow levels of page 3.

682
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past:
A hack that adds the new content and gameplay mechanics from the GBA port and restores all the stuff that got censored and changed in the American version to their original form.

Pokemon Crystal:
A hack that restores Jynx's colors and the sprites of some of the trainers that got censored in the American version to their original form.

Streets of Rage 2:
A hack that restores Blaze's jump kick sprite and Mr. X's cigar sprite from the Japanese version to the American version.

683
I would like to see a hack for the Genesis version of OutRun that brightens up all the color palettes in this game to make it look more like the arcade version and add the option to use a automatic transmission setting for the car.

I also would like to see a hack for Super Mario Bros. 3 that gives Luigi his own set of sprites instead of sharing Mario's.

684
I would like to see a hack for the Genesis version of Strider that restores Hiryu's yelling sound effect from the Japanese version and a Genesis version of the exclusive PC Engine level added as well.

Newcomer's Board / Re: Virtual Pro Wrestling 64 Question
« on: May 19, 2013, 03:50:04 am »
Is there a program where you can extract textures from a N64 rom and edit them in Photoshop and import them back to the N64 rom. This way I can edit other textures in this game.

Newcomer's Board / Virtual Pro Wrestling 64 Question
« on: May 05, 2013, 04:01:51 am »
Is there a gameshark code for Virtual Pro Wrestling 64 where you can change Giant Baba's shoes from red to black or is that something I have to do in hex editor? You can't change the color of his shoes in Edit Wrestler mode.

687
King of Colosseum II (Sony PlayStation 2):
A hack that replaces the fake stuff and brings the textures of the real ring and entrance attires, face and head textures, theme songs, the crowd yelling out their names, the ring announcers and commentators calling out their names from King of Colosseum Red and Green to this game for these edit wrestler and MMA samples from the Template Menu:

Giant Baba
Jumbo Tsuruta
Kenzo Suzuki
Kazuyuki Fujita
Stan Hansen
Abdullah The Butcher
Steve Williams
Vader
Mike Modest
Donovan Morgan
Naoya Ogawa
Don Frye
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
Minoru Suzuki

I still need help on this, I don't know if it's something I need to do in Hex Editor or in Tile Layer Pro.

I tried Tile Layer Pro, but I had a hard time finding them in there and I don't know where their numbers are in Hex Editor.

If someone can help me on this that will be great.

689
In my opinion the title name should be Top Secret: Hitler's Revival.

690
Mega Man 1 (NES):

A hack that adds Oil Man and Time Man as the 7th and 8th Robot Masters.

Use these Oil Man and Time Man 8-bit sprites:

Use these Oil Man and Time Man 8-bit themes:
Oil Man: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_wxUwErXQY
Time Man: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLnJNcmrEHs

For Dr. Wily's Castle, either put Oil Man and Time Man in Stage 1 or in Stage 4.

@SCD: I would, if I could. If you mean, importing from RM7 to MMVII, that I do not know how. But, if the title screen is viewable in YY-CHR then...
Still, using their US version names easy. But, still, I wanna translate the game to what it was written in the JP version. I-I get mixed feelings on this one....

I was trying to ask if you're planning to make a alternate patch for the RM7 rom that would have the MMVII names for everything, I didn't say import the stuff from the RM7 rom to the MMVII rom. Sorry about the confusion. You don't have to use the original MMVII title screen, you should try make a custom version of the Rockman 7 title screen where it changes the name to Megaman 7. I though it would be a cool idea to have two versions of the patch so the fans can choose if they want to use the original RM7 names or use the MMVII names. If you don't want to do that, it's not a big deal.

692
Are you planning to make a alternate version of this patch that has the American names for all the characters, weapons and a Mega Man 7 title screen?

Newcomer's Board / Need help on Final Fire Pro Wrestling with Hex Editor
« on: October 06, 2012, 06:12:45 am »
I found out how to fix up the colors of the American wrestlers in Final Fire Pro Wrestling using Hex Editor. But I need help on these two things because I don't know where they are in the rom.

I want to change the WPA プロレス and AWG プロレス ring names in the select ring section of the match set up menu to WFW プロレス and WWC プロレス, what row are they in and what numbers do I have to change and use?

I'm not a expert on Hex Editor, that's why I need help on these two. I was able to fix the colors of the American wrestlers because someone uploaded PDF files that show you where their color data is in the rom.

694
Excellent job on the title screen Vanya.

I tried to put my list of ideas from the previous page in their own topic so people will know about them and see them, but they won't let me. So I'm re-posting them on this page.
Here's my list of ideas for hacks and patches I would like to see become a reality, it's a huge list. Let me know what you think of my ideas.

ROM Hacking Discussion / Re: Screenshots
« on: August 30, 2012, 10:32:30 pm »
- You can't really tell in this image, but the Sub-Blurbs before bosses WAS in the English version of Mega Man 7, just no code was called.  I restored that.

Now as for Roll/Auto having their own dialects after defeating certain bosses, that entire portion seems to be completely wiped out in every aspect.  Code, dialogue, etc.. Nothing exists.  I've copied the JP code over and it works flawlessly still, but Roll/Auto will not load up unless you want the game to go crazy.

Edit: It's probably even easier in all honesty just to hack the JP version and import the English text.  Saves time.

I agree with you, it's best to make a English translation patch with the American names for all the characters and the Mega Man VII title screen for the Japanese Version. You can get information about the Japanese Version and a English script of it as well from here: http://bobcatmoran.livejournal.com/72187.html

Visual Boy Advance is the original version with the least problems.

Visual Boy Advance M is a forked version of it with new features, but it has a few problems like the one you encountered when you're trying to play Metroid II on it.

Visual Boy Advance Link is a online version of it that has multiplayer link cable emulation.

I recommend you should stick with the original because it has the least problems than the other versions.

I thought you had Linux when I was watching you're video because it had a different layout and design than the Windows programs I use, sorry about that. I'll send you a PM with the patched rom. I played tested it and there's nothing wrong with it.

That never happen to me, do a Google search and type in Metroid II - Return of Samus (World) or Metroid II - Return of Samus (UE) [!]

Those are the roms I used the patch on and they worked perfectly, did you went to the options menu on the Visual Boy Advance emulator and turn on Game Boy Color mode. If you're still having problems, you should contact Metroid Evolution on this site. If you have a Linux, then it might be a problem with that version of Visual Boy Advance. Try another Game Boy emulator and see if that works. This is the best I can do to help you.

According to Metroid Evolution, there are a few minor glitches that will appear in the game after you install the patch. What glitch did you encountered and where did it happen?

I think there's only one version of the rom, it usually has (World), (UE) and (UA) next to it's name at most rom sites. I never seen it with just (U), (E) or (J) next to it's name. I remembered the patch did worked on all of them.
