ROM Hacking Discussion / Re: [CPS2] Hyper Street Fighter 2

That's great to hear.

Another thing I would like to see done to the American versions of the PS2 & Arcade ports is restore the Japanese voice clips back to Cammy & Dee Jay.

Where Cammy will say "Spiral Arrow" & "Cannon Spike" instead of "Cannon Drill" & "Thrust Kick" and Dee Jay will say "Slash" instead of "Max Out".

I think they're still in both versions, hidden away somewhere in them.

Alright, I didn't know, sorry about that.

I didn't play USFII yet, but I remember people that played it said the AI in it was pretty balanced.

I'm looking forward to playing your patch on real PS2 hardware in the near future, hopefully you'll do the same thing with the arcade ROM as well.

I checked out the video, it's good that the AI is no longer brutal, but I think you made the AI a little too easy, especially it doesn't block any moves.

In my opinion, you should try and make the AI behave how it behaves in Ultra Street Fighter II.

I found these custom SMW Luigi sprites on deviantART where a user named Hartflip0218 merged the All-Stars & Mario Maker 2 sprites together and the results are pretty impressive:

You should try and add these to your project, I think they'll be great for it.

I changed both values and tested it, the game didn't soft-lock when I picked up the 1-UP in that stage.

Thanks for helping me on this.

I'm stuck at who'd replace Launchpad.

I think Mike Matei might be a good replacement for him.

That would be neat, including restore the "Oh my god!" voice clip back to Luigi & Wario as well.

I'm still hoping for the day that the beta version of Super Punch-Out!! gets leaked, so we can finally play the game with the original protagonist, including restore him back to the final release as well.

It is really interesting that Luigi was in Super Mario 64 this whole time, I wonder why they never used him for that game?

I would like to see re-translation hacks for Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow that will change the main script to be a lot closer to their Japanese counterparts.

Alright, that's good to hear.

Oops, sorry about that. I was just trying to help, I didn't know.

Hi everyone,

I need help on fixing this bug in my Lightening Force to Thunder Force IV hack this one user reported me about, you can check out my hack here:

According to the user, there’s a soft-lock bug in the "Daser" stage, if you pick up the 1-Up right after the mid-stage boss, the game soft-locks.

So I need someone that's good at hacking Genesis ROMs to take a look at it and see why it is doing that.

If someone can help me on fixing this, that will be great.

I would like to see someone finish up the abandoned Klonoa Heroes English translation hack.

I translated the full line from your first post to English, here's what it says:

A: Okay, I'll give it to you. See you again!
B: Ah! Thank you!
C: After a long time.

I was able to restore the red blood for both Richter & Death and the original sprite for the cross weapon.

But I can't figure out how to restore the tombstones, Death's original defeated animation and the cross weapon sprite icon that appears in Richter’s life bar, I have no idea where they are in all three ROMs.

I think the music in Hyperstone Heist sounds more like the arcade version of Turtles in Time, maybe a ROM hack to fix the music up a bit to make it sound closer to the arcade game.

OutRun (3DS & Switch): A graphics hack that will restore the original appearance of the car where it looked like the Ferrari Testarossa Spider:

They're great ports, but it's not the same without the Testarossa. Hopefully this is possible to make.

Mario Kart: Super Circuit (Game Boy Advance):

A optional patch for Emilianomario27's Localized Voices hack that will give Yoshi his N64 voice clips.

A hack that will restore the missing obstacles back to the SNES tracks.

I checked out the demo, I enjoyed what I played, hopefully the final product will be really good.

Mega Man: The Wily Wars (Genesis): A hack that will give Protoman actual new sprites:

Same thing with other characters that didn't get new sprites.
