Another thing that needs to be fixed in the uncensored hack is restoring the original sound effects for the upgraded forms of Simon's whip from the Japanese version, where it actually sounds more like a chain.

With the recent leak of the Dinosaur Planet N64 ROM, I would like to see two things done to it:

Replace Fox McCloud with the original protagonist, Sabre. Including remove anything related to the StarFox series as well.
Fix it to where it's possible to beat the game.

I also recently found out that they censored E. Honda's stage in the recent ports of the SFII arcade games in Capcom Arcade Stadium for the dumbest reasons, I want to see a hack that will restore the original uncensored stage back to them.

No, I didn't believe any of those infamous leaks.

This is just my theory of what the last three fighters might be.

UPDATE: After the announcement during the direct, I rather wish one of my predictions was right.

Seriously, another random RPG character that I never heard of, nor do I care about as well.

don't see why they'd go for any of that

The reason why I'm predicting that it could be those three is because:

They might announce Raboot on Pokemon Day because Nintendo probably wants Sakurai to add him to Smash, so they have a Gen 8 rep. in that game and also shock the Pokemon fans on that day as well.

They might announce Raymond in late March, because the 20th will be the one year anniversary of New Horizons, including it was their best selling game last year. So they probably want him to add him to Smash, not only to have a rep. from that game, but also he’s the most popular villager from it as well.

They might announce Tyson during the summer, he’s probably going to add him to Smash to not only shock the world, but also give Little Mac his arch rival as well.

Sad, but true.

But in my opinion, I think the last three fighters could be Raboot (Gen 8 rep.), Raymond (New Horizons rep.) and Mike Tyson (to shock the world).

If they're going to add one more Pokemon to Smash Ultimate, it's probably going to be a Gen 8 rep. and it's probably going to be Raboot, because he's one of the most popular new Pokemon in Sword & Shield.

Alright, thanks for the info.

Yes, the Fire Pro wrestling series is pretty popular, especially the older entries.

Ortew sent me an example of compressed and decompressed data from the game that might help users on here on what type of compression is used for it:

The file that I need help on decompressing is the FPG.BIN file that's located inside the game's main BIN file, you can get the file by using the CDmage utility tool.

Programming / Need help on figuring out on how to decompress a PSX BIN file

Hi everyone,

I need help on figuring out on how to decompress a PSX BIN file.

I want to do a ROM hack for Fire Pro Wrestling G, but the info that I want to edit in the BIN file is compressed.

What program do I need to use that will not only decompress it, but also re-compress it as well.

If someone can help me on this, that would be great.

I downloaded it and took a look, it opened fine for me.

Another game they released here in the states that should get the Un-Worked Designs treatment is Thunder Force V for the PSX, they made the game way too hard when they brought it over here.

I still would like to see Silhouette Mirage get the same treatment as well.

No, they definitely changed the graphics on the wall in Guy's stage.

Here's a comparison:

Okay. I tried my best.

I don't think I can improve this, I need someone much better at pixel art.
Main issue with GB Mega Man games is the lower resolution, there's small room for tiles. Also, I don't think using the NES gradients in the text looks good there.
It looks great, you did a good job on it.

I checked out the video, it's coming out pretty good.

I also found these for you as well:

This will be really useful when you start working on the enemies.

I found this sprite sheet of the Stardroids in NES style colors on deviantART by a user named mike1967-now:

Maybe this will help you on what colors to give them.

I also found this on there by another user named Bongwater-bandit:

This could be useful when you start working on their portraits.

I got the MM7 Japanese logo imported into the USA rom. I just need to setup the new graphics now (there's also the weapon get screen to deal with). It's a start at least. :)

That's great to hear, congrats!

MM4 released (thanks to Korxtendo):

Now there is only MM7. The 3 and 6 I would like to improve some things.

December 18, 2020, 03:16:43 pm - (Auto Merged - Double Posts are not allowed before 7 days.)
In fact, here are some things I would like to do:

MM1: I would like to offer a title screen with an alternative black background to match the rest of the series, but I don't know how to do it:

Which would be better?

December 18, 2020, 03:25:55 pm - (Auto Merged - Double Posts are not allowed before 7 days.)
MM2: I would like to offer a version of the title screen for American and European roms just like I did for MM1 and also another version with the AGTP translation already included for the Japanese rom so you don't need to patch twice, I asked for permission but I didn't get a response.:

MM3: Also offer a title screen for normal versions.

MM3 Improvemennt: In addition to updating the hack to version 2.22, I would also like to make two modifications:

 1) Return with the enemy's energy bar from right to left as in the original and rest of the series:

If someone showed me how to do that, I would be very grateful.

 2) We all know that the new introduction to this hack is wonderful, but I feel they are a bit flattened, I would like to squeeze them a bit just to be in the pattern of the other games in the series, See how they would look:

What do you think? Then I'll talk more about MM6 and 7, 4 and 5 are practically done.

That's great to hear that your MM4 logo hack has been released.

For MM1, I think the right image looks better.

For MM3, move the boss's energy bar back to the left, but leave the intro cutscenes alone.

Here's a small hack that should be easy to pull off, putting Bowser's Japanese pose into the American Super Mario RPG ROM. :D

Someone already made a patch that restores it back to the American ROM, you can get it here:

I'm okay with the idea of letting someone else use the modified MM7 logo that was made for my restoration hack.

I found this portrait for Richter, maybe this one will be perfect for the Bloodlines stage:
