I guess I never posted this here. The video demonstrates a single-level edit of Bionic Commando that I did last year. It was sort of an attempt to show the capabilities of the level editor that I made. I don't plan on working more on the hack, though I had ideas for it.

Interesting.. I came by the soundtrack of Bounty Sword some time ago and I kind of dig some tracks in it.

Mystic Ark (sometimes dubbed "7th Saga 2") have similar intrument samples to Bounty Sword.. also both sountracks give composer credits to Akihiko Mori. I wonder if the two games sound engines are the same also..?

Gaming Discussion / Re: Your first game

The first game I remember seeing was Super Mario Bros. at one of our neighbours.

I remember that I thought the Mario sprite was a Teddy bear with overalls, because it looked like that to me and I didn't know better.

Compared to MM4, Mega Man 5 has more space in some elements of level editing, including scrolling data, screen presets and maximum screens that a level can be in length. So basically, you can make longer levels.

Besides, it's easier to deal with enemy graphics in MM5 (automatic, instant swapping of enemy CHR banks), and it has more features than MM4 for doing graphics effects in a level, like swapping or animating palettes and CHR.
