A.) Someone at XSeeD pissed off someone at Falcom.
B.)NISA made them an offer they can't refuse.
C.)Behind the scenes snubbery by NISA
D.)Falcom not happy with performance of a lot of games published by XseeD.
Japanese companies are stuck in their ways, it's strange to see them want to jump ship to another company they haven't has as many relations with, rather than sticking with what works and isn't broken. Sure NISA published some in EUR, but it was mostly piggy backing off of XS.
That said, Falcom has worked with a million companies locally and internationally for their game releases over the years.
So not much new. XS has done a lot of releases and a lot of work bringing the series back into the limelight so that's definitely a puzzler why they'd not choose them. Maybe because NIS in Japan is doing PC ports directly themselves now with some success overseas and Falcom didn't want to make the PC version. So they went with them because their Japanese team could produce the PC version for them.
Who knows, i'm glad we are getting it at all. Especially on PC. But it is disappointing to see them toss XS to the wayside. I hope that doesn't affect other Falcom titles.
XS by far has shown the most love, and respect for Falcom's games out of any other English company in history. It'd be a shame...https://curiouscat.me/BlackDragonHunt/post/92563721
