I really don't get the complaints. The links are all there and are the same. If you can't see because you're still using 1024x wide monitors...

the point I was trying to make is that the links on the left are much more useful than the links on the right, and they should be given higher priority for staying visible on the page as the window size is reduced

I don't care that it's bright, I just think the layout is more difficult to use than before.

The links from the left hand side of the screen that I thought were gone are apparently still there, but only if you make the window very large. The links just disappear if you make the window slightly smaller than normal.

This is very annoying, because I usually use half of my screen for browsing and the other for multitasking in other programs. I know many people who browse the internet this way.

All that stuff with the little boxes about "newest hacks, newest translations, random images" should be kept on the home page. I can see how it would be handy for quickly checking what the newest things are, but when you've already picked what section of the site you want to browse, all that stuff does is take up space.

I think the links that are on the left are much more useful for quickly navigating the site than annoying dropdown menus or the new boxes on the right. If the links didn't disappear I wouldn't mind this redesign at all. Maybe instead of hiding them the stuff on the right could be hidden instead. Or change it from 2 columns to 1 in small windows. That stuff takes up nearly half of the page.

EDIT: I noticed the stuff on the right DOES change to 1 column if you make the window really small. If that happened before hiding the links on the left then the layout would be fine.

That's just my opinion anyway. I'm not making any demands

It doesn't really matter that much, does it? This is like complaining that Porky is called Pokey in EB, or that Orima from Pikmin was localized to Olimar. It doesn't really affect the overall quality of the game. I'm just glad that I'll get to play it, be it Stafy or Starfy.

It looks way too cluttered. The old site had all the links on the left hand side which was very convenient, now they're all hidden away in annoying little dropdown menus and the site is way more confusing to use.

I changed the theme back to romh in my account settings, but that only affects the forum. The rest of the site is practically unusable for me now.

I think you should wait for dougrpg to finish before beta testing

you'd just have to retest after the graphics are finished anyway

I wouldn't be surprised if HCG wants his channel to be focused on legit releases, not fan patches. I doubt he would update his best RPGs video to include this game. I think this game will remain an unknown gem...

iirc he's been extremely supportive of fan translations in the past and has even made videos about them

I think the last one he did was telling people to go download the lagrange point patch

I remember giving up on popful mail due to being frustrated at a certain boss that could kill you in only 2 or 3 hits

I'm definitely going to give it another try after this

Maybe there could be some way, that translations with only .ips or .xdelta files aren't put behind the registration wall? I don't think Google is suspicious of these types of files, so maybe it would be okay to still allow them to be downloaded by everybody, and only block the ones with custom patchers and .exe files in them

Are downloads going to be behind a registration wall forever now, or just until this blows over?

I love this game so much. Thank you so much for finishing this translation, you've just given me an excuse to replay it

I have a question though, does the game still crash in chapter 3 when you give a chili to the scaredy-cat guy in the room with the jukebox, like it did in tashi's patch?
