Is this new patch standalone or does it get patched on top of the old patch?

It's unfortunate I can't really enjoy this color hack at all with Samus's garbled weapon graphics after you fire a missile. I'm really looking forward to playing a ton of this if you ever get around to fixing.

Funny, I just played through the entire game 100% in under 2 hours, not one single garbled graphic...

Slickproductions may be down for good, but I have good news.  CV Reynolds has returned and has new place hosting his bugfix comp patch and his script fix patch,

You can't find the rom because a 25th anniversary pal version of the rom never exiested.  It was released on Red Japanese Wiis. Red Pal Wiis got Donkey Kong Original Edition. Nonetheless, you didn't look very hard, check your PMs.

Toruzz, what emulator were you using when hacking the game, or which emulators are known to play the game well?

Over react much?

And please get your facts straight before assuming

While this is a good idea for a translation, and I do perfer seeing the definitive translation of FF5 over the PS1 version, I would love to see the original PS1 translation used for SNES game. To me, it just seems more fitting as SNES era translation.

I know, unpopular opinion lol

Thanks ShadowOne333!  However, I didn't manage to find a patch!! Someone named 'Nudua' made it. I tested it out on my modded Wii using Nintendont, it works!!!

It comes with 2 different ways to apply the patch, a readme is included explaining everything :)

Does anyone happen to know of a patch that would swap 'jump' and 'fire' buttons?

Or even a cheat code?!? Pressing B to jump just feels too unnatural...

Edit, had to fix a typo...

ROM Hacking Discussion / Re: Loopy's SMB2J
« on: January 02, 2015, 11:28:29 pm »
There are alot of complaints with SMB2j-NES roms. Like the wind not blowing in levels where it is supposed to, not saving how many times the game has been completed thus locking worlds a-d, different kinds of piranha plant problems...

What I am asking is if the Loopy hack (or conversion or whatever you want to call it) behaves and plays like the game should...

Hey all, I have a question.

I'm curious about Loopy's Super Mario Bros 2 (j) hack.  Does everything in that hack work exactly the same as the original FDS SMB2J?  I keep hearing conflicting reports...

ROM Hacking Discussion / disable saving
« on: December 30, 2014, 08:59:50 pm »
Hey all, noobish question for ya.  I have a hack of Super Mario Bros., it works great, but it saves your progress and high score. I want it to behave like the typical Super Mario Bros game. Is there a simple method to disable the saving?

Rock Man & Forte (SNES): Insert translation and graphics from Mega Man & Bass (GBA)

Golden Axe 3 (GEN): NTSC-U hack

Final Fantasy 5 (SNES): Insert translation from the PS1 re-release

I have an idea for an addendum patch for Neill Corlett's Final Fantasy 3-nes patch.  A fix for the issue that happens when you can't use an item (1st letter of item gets replaced with the 'x' symbol), also, any way we we could get the original credits back but add in the translators names?

I whole-heartedly agree that the GBA translation was better than the PS1 translation.  I was thinking the PS1 translation would be better for the SNES version, being as how the PS1 translation was supposed to be for the SNES version before the game got canned...

I am just curious about something. Has anyone thought about pulling the ps1 "official" translation out of final fantasy 5 and inserting it into snes final fantasy 5? Is it possible? Or is it possible to simply pull the translated rom from the ps1 disk, if it's still there, that is...

ROM Hacking Discussion / nes ntsc patches?
« on: May 18, 2012, 06:45:08 pm »
I am just curious about this.  Are NTSC patches possible for the PAL exclusive NES games? Like Lion King, Aladdin,  Parasol Stars, etc...
