Personal Projects / Castlevania POR Beta Testers Wanted.
November 18, 2021, 10:29:57 AM
Hello. I need some people to test the final beta of a hack of Castlevania - Portrait of Ruin that I have been working on for awhile. Play through the game looking for bugs or errors, as well as test if all storyline aspects are working. I am not sure if everything is correct. Known issues: Game may freeze when using certain warp points, save often. Music does not restart after using Stopwatch until leaving the entire area. Using puppet master subweapon may crash the game(This will be removed from final release if I cannot get it to work properly). To test this hack, apply this patch to Castlevania - Portrait of Ruin (USA) rom.
Stopwatch can be located in hidden room in ceiling of bike room. Jump, shoulder spring, double jump, then backflip with down+L to reach room without griffon wing.
Slight adjustments made in DSV to reflect Stopwatch working on Late Game Bosses.

  Patch is updated:
Newcomer's Board / Can't Create PPFs!
April 12, 2020, 09:55:34 AM
Hello all. I have been trying to make a PPF patch for my hack Castlevania - Dracula X Chronicles: SOTN Remix. But I have run into error after error. Tried PPF Studio, PPF-O-Matic and at some point even tried Xdelta. The last error I received from PPF Studio said the ortiginal rom and the modified one are not the same size.

Does anyone know anything about creating PPF? There are plenty of tutorials about applying patches, but none about how to create a PPF when roms are different sized. Help please.  :-\
ROM Hacking Discussion / Help with Sappy.
December 15, 2019, 06:59:55 PM
I would like to be able to freely swap songs between all 3 GBA Castlevanias as well as GBA Classic NES Castlevania. Sappy won't pull from NES Classic. And All of My attempts to Rip Midis, convert them with mid2agb, and reassemble them in another game have failed miserably.  :'( They either end up sounding horrible, or when they do sound ok, other tracks at random get messed up.  :-[

If anyone can Help I have a tracklist i would like to see for each GBA CV Title. Let me know as soon as you can, if you can help, please. :)
