Programming / Rescripting a hack for loved ones
« on: January 14, 2021, 02:18:36 am »
It's always sad when a relative of yours dies while you are working on a rom hack. It means that you may have to modify the game's script to add a screen dedicated to them. Have any of you guys had that experience before?

Hello. I would like to know if there is some sort of editor for SMB2 levels and character properties for Super Mario All-Stars. I know one exists for the NES, but I would like to know if there is one for All-Stars

ROM Hacking Discussion / SNES Tile Changer

Hello I would like to know if there are any tile editor programs out there for SNES games, like for example, changing the text in an SNES game.

Okay, so I found out if I am going to change sound effects for an NES game, I need to do disassembly of some sort, but specifically, how do I find the code to a certain sound effect?

So I've seen an improvement on SMB2 with the name changes. I know how to do it on the "contributor" area, but how do I do such a thing for the ending with the cast? What program do I use? If I already have it, how do I do it?

If anyone knows where I can find a Super Mario All Stars Level Editor and a SMB2 Character Property Modifier, can you please let me know? I know there's one that exists for the NES, but...

I want to know if there is a way to change a sound effect in an NES game. Specifically replacing SMB2 Jump and 1UP sound effects with the first game's super jump and 1UP sound effect. Is there a program recommended for that use? If so, please do tell me.

Programming / How to work the SMB2 Discombobulator/Transmogrificator
« on: October 05, 2019, 07:54:37 pm »
I'm having a problem.

Every time I load up SMB2 Discobobulator/Transmogrificator, it always asks me to just enter a rom, after pressing OK, it just closes and no first level shows up.

It only asks me: Enter the filename and path

Is there something I need to do to operate it and make it function the way it is supposed to? Is there a program I need to install or uninstall to make it work? If so, please let me know.

By the way, I'm using Windows 10.
