Personal Projects / Super Peach World DX
« on: October 13, 2017, 10:51:58 pm »
Here is a hack of Super Mario world I did where I replaced Mario's sprites with Princess Peach. I know this type of hack has been done before, but I figured I would use the actual sprite of Peach in the game and just update it a bit.

I change a couple of things like dialogue, removal of two players, etc....but essential it is still the same game you know and love.

What is the DX for? Deluxe I suppose lol...I just named it that to differentiate between the other Peach World hacks out there.

I was originally not going to release this hack, but due to some requests for it I have changed my mind.

Let me know if you are interested in testing it.

Here is a video link:

I will upload the patch soon.

Programming / VRAM question...
« on: July 29, 2016, 08:34:54 pm »
So I am currently using the emulator vsnes to find vram offsets for certain sprites. So first I take a savestate of a rom and open it with vsnes. I then open the viewer and locate theSprite I am looking for. Now once I find the offset, I open up the built in hex editor and input the vram offset. Once I have found it, I edit the hex and I get the results I wanted. However, they are not permanant.

So my question is how can I use vsnes to locate offsets in a Hex editor such as HxD?

Personal Projects / Megaman Z
« on: May 17, 2016, 11:10:05 pm »
Here is a hack that I began back in 2007. I lost interest in it and put it on hold and uploaded what I had so done at the time.
After playing various Megaman hacks, I was inspired to start work on the project again.

Previous Hack:

Updated Hack:

Edited Megaman X to look like Zero. Changed Title Screen.

Changed 90% of dialogue.

Edited Get Weapon Portrait to look like Zero.

Changed Dr. Light into Dr. Wily.

Edited Boss select screen "Megaman X" icon into "Z"

Zero can use the upgrades given to him, but his armor looks the same.
I am still working on editing those sprites.

Also, Zero has no ponytail. I apologize for my lack of asm coding knowledge, but I am hoping this hack will inspire someone to find a way to include his hair.

I will be releasing a patch later this month.

Also, I want to thank Justin3009, Xstuff, and Protorock for helping me with this project and for answering my questions.
