I received a request to fix this hack. This particular one was abandoned by the Spanish hacker Trifindo some three to five years ago. Only two dungeons were ever completed, the third one was incomplete, and the rest of them were left untouched in their original state. The overworld map was also a mess. All that has been fixed, so that the player can now beat the first quest in its entirety.

Version 2.0: This is a demo version of the hack which fixes the overworld map and the first quest dungeons. The 2nd Quest dungeons will be redone sometime in the near future, and some dungeons may even get new colors in the final version.

Should any bugs or flaws arise, which should be minimal, send me a PM and I will address it ASAP.

I will post screenshots later.

UPDATE 26/02/2016: There were two Magical Boomerangs in the first quest, and the second one (which was found in Level-6) should have been the Magical Rod. A Version 2.2 patch was released to fix this problem. Apologies to everyone for the goofup.

The Legend of Zelda: Lyra Islands is a Wind Waker-inspired hack of A Link to the Past, made by SePH sometime in 2004 or 2005 (I'm not sure of the exact date). It features multiple islands and was also supposed to include brand new dungeons.  However, when SePH first released this, only the first Light World dungeon was ever completed, and the rest of them were left untouched, in their original state. Some Light World areas are also bugged, including Death Mountain. I am starting a project to finish the hack, to fix the bugs and glitches in the Light World, and to modify the dungeons with new secrets, tricks, and puzzles. Some help would be gladly appreciated.

NOTE: You must patch to a US rom with no header. You need a UPS patcher.

ROM Information:
Name: Legend of Zelda, The - A Link to the Past (U) [!]
Size: 1,048,576 bytes
Checksum: CRC32 777AAC2F

UPDATE 1/4/2021: After many missteps, endless worlds of file corruption, and many false starts, this 5-year project was finally finished and released under the name A Link to the Islands. I ended up making new overworlds and dungeons in addition to restoring the vanilla LTTP graphics (instead of using the GFX that SePH had imported in Lyra Islands 1.0). New download link is posted above. Expect to see:

-New Dark World design (Areas 43, 45, & 47 ONLY!).
-Hyrule Castle re-located.
-Kakariko Town re-located.
-New Lost Woods-style puzzle.
-Eight new dungeons and one mini-dungeon.
-Ganon gets his own tower in the Dark World.
-New monologue and in-game clues.
-New sprites.
-MSU-1 support.
-ASM hacks added.
-New ending cutscenes.
-Customized ending credits.

The Legend of Zelda: Ganon's Deception is a hack made by an unknown author roughly 10 years ago. In many areas of the overworld, the player will encounter enemies not normally seen above ground, such as Wizzrobes.

Unfortunately, this game was unfinished during it's initial release. I played through the whole game, in and out, and was surprised to discover that Level-5 was not accessable, let alone untouched. The same thing goes for Level-8 and the 2nd Quest. I am starting a project to redo all or part of the dungeons and the overworld. Some help would be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE 6/25/2015: The 1st Quest has been finished. Level-5, Level-8, and Level-9 have all been redone with new puzzles, re-arranged items, etc. Some overworld screens have also been modified for better accessibility.

Should any bugs arise, please let me know and I'll get to it right away.
