I appreciate the enthusiasm for the FFA DX project (I'm really excited to see it progress too), but any further, project-specific comments (constructive, critical, or otherwise) need to be addressed in another thread. Feel free, however, to post small updates about its progression from time-to-time. That's part of this thread's purpose, after all. :)

Thank you everyone! ^_^
I can't believe this is progressing at last!

PD: Oh, by the way... I felt like adding the Yashichi!

It just........

keeps looking better and better.

Holy crap, that looks fantastic. :o

Are you referring to that "final 3.1.21 version"?

I was under the impression that they released 3 separate versions of the game, but I could have just misunderstood.

I have the impression most ".exe Flash Players" don't work anymore either – except for something like the aforementioned Flashpoint. (Which is all one needs, really.)

I personally used SWF File Player with little to no issues. That's been a few months though, so maybe it's no longer supported.

You can still play Super Mario Bros. Crossover 3, which is better in every way (massive improvements to the character roster, gameplay options, and graphical options from the first game). I believe you can just download the SWF file and load it into a .exe Flash Player on your computer.

The entire Donkey Kong Land series is now in full color!

The list has been updated to reflect that.

On a more personal note, I'm super excited to finally give these three games a try.

You have missed...

Mega Man Xtreme 2 - Force GBA Enhanced Mode

Please add this one to the GBC to GBA enhancement hacks! Thanks! :)

I don't really count this as an improvement hack. It doesn't alter the gameplay at all, and it doesn't do anything that an emulator can't already do (I believe mGBA forces GBA modes for GBC games by default). Plus, those bright colors look rough, to say the least. I can't recommend that someone play Mega Man Xtreme 2 in a washed-out palette.

I know that probably comes off as really rude, but I'm not trying to be. I just don't think it warrants a spot on the list, though I commend your effort to create/help create it for those that want it.

Donkey Kong Land 2 colorization hack in bugtesting phase

That's fantastic! The trilogy is almost complete!

Oooh, that Final Fantasy Adventure colorization is looking real nice. :o

That enemy with a jetpack looks like one of the Battletoads repelling down The Wookie Hole.

The second enemy could easily be Little Mac with or without his pink jumpsuit.

Thanks I'll add it. Is this the definitive version of SMW COOP or is it still buggy?

It's technically the definitive version, yes (although it's still buggy).

This extremely helpful guide needs to be added to the section about Super Mario World Co-op:

Added a link to the ongoing Mega Man III DX project by Tails Gaming Power. Make sure to check it out!

Ok It actually is possible to use multiple patches, though not exactly directly, I'll explain the steps soon once I figure it all out, though all mods should be useable with this one

Sounds great! Thank you so much for going through and doing that!

One more DX hack has appeared on the section. This time it's Bomb Jack!

Also, King James Bible DX still isn't added to the list!

Both have been added now

Is this compatible with the Mario Kart 64 voice lines hack?

Súper Mario Land DX (2.0)

I saw that! A playable Luigi with different physics? That's awesome!

Gaming Discussion / Re: E3 2022 Cancelled...

I don't think it's the worst news, honestly. We should still get Directs, State of Plays, etc. from major and minor game companies alike, so video game news will still keep on coming. They just won't be mired in the typical E3 commentary, advertising, and publicity events.

Help Wanted Ads / Re: [Audio] Musician Offered
« on: March 29, 2022, 12:05:05 pm »
Hi! I'm Green, I'm a musician looking to make some music for rom hacks. I'm down for basically any system, I have experience both in remixes and original compositions. I'd especially be interested in working on a hack of the Mario, Sonic, or Pokemon games. If you need a musician on your team or for your hack, hit me up! 8)

Hey there! I made a hack of Super Mario Bros. 1 a while back based on the Studio Ghibli film Castle in the Sky: Would you be up to creating some new music for that project? I have an (older) existing thread that covers some songs from the movie's soundtrack that might be easiest to work with:
