ROM Hacking Discussion / Re: PC-FX game file extraction

What sort of "files" are you hoping to extract?  If you're looking for graphics, have you tried opening the .iso from TurboRIP with a graphics viewer like Tile Molester?
ISO Buster should be able to identify the track's filesystem, if it has any kind of filesystem.
ISO Buster say no file system found
Graphics, script for translation, voices.
Nope, never heard about Tile Molester, would check it. Okay, there only 4 color pixels... I dunno how to use it, is there some guides? (Still I need access to scripts anyway)

You will find one of those audio tracks is not an audio track at all.
In this case the data track ends up inside the ISO file.

I'm not sure how the PC-FX works, but it is quite possible it does not use a standard CD filesystem at all and that all the game data is a big binary blob in the ISO file.
Well, 2nd track is data for sure.
But how to access it I dunno.
I saw that few pc-fx games was translated on romhacking, but still cant find any info how to do it.
Still thanks for help. Maybe someone who know how to do it would see this topic

What are you using to mount it?

Offhand ISOBuster ought to be able to extract the data track, but I think TurboRIP will do it as well, and I'm sure there are other programs.
There was some discussion of this just recently at .  Apparently a "rebuild sector fields" in CDmage will fix it.
Hello, I use DAEMON Tools for it.
Ok, I try ISOBuster and it see 5 audio tracks and that's all.
TurboRIP dump Bin-Cue to Wav-ISO-Cue-Toc, maybe I don't get something but it's only converted it it to new format. I use /FORCERIP command.
So, I don't get any game files

Pia Carrot rebuilt helped and game now work. But there something looks like corrupted. Because some images showed with lags and no english text are showed  :-\
I scanned for corruption and then rebuild it, that's all? Or I done something wrong?
I would post about it in link that you give me then

After 6 try game run fine and without lags... Nice

My question how access game files  :-[

Oh, while I ask about pc-fx game.
Does anyone try to emulate english patched Pia Carrot He Youkoso with mednafen?
I ppf patched it with patcher that was included in translation patch and game simply do not start.
Some error in sectors.
Then I patched with ppf-o-matic3 and game start, but after I choose cafe uniform game go black and say error in sectors...
Help would be good, btw unpatched game plays fine

Hello, can someone reupload patch?
