I hope this hack gets the SML2 DX treatment ... changes Mario's outfit color whenever he gets a "Fire" flower.

I'm sure someone has answered this elsewhere, but it's not the Fire Flower. Mario shoots a rubber ball. It's a whole different power-up.
Well, thanks.

The most frustrating part for me is that I loaded the rom and when I saw that I had a working title screen I just went ahead and spent time making a box art for it. Only later did I find out that the rom didn't work completely. Obviously, I have no one else to blame for it, but now I'm kind of obsessed with getting the original version working.

I'll try some other emulators within emulationstation.

Oh, yup. It seems to work with "lr-snes9x2002", for the record.
Hey, will the Super Mario Bros. Deluxe hack by peter_ac/pac actually work in retropie? I've tried patching the IPS onto multiple copies of SMW, including the "Super Mario World (U) [!].smc - GOODSNES 2.04" rom that's specified, but nothing. At one point I was able to get the game to start, but it just froze after the introductory screen.

This hack looks fun, but I can't get past how square those overworld ground blocks look.

Excellent, thanks, can you also share the title logo please ?

I'm not sure if I understand your question. If you're looking for the file I used as the logo for this graphic, you can find it here:
Hey, I'm a total weirdo and I need to have art for all of the roms in my Retropie set-up, so I slapped this together.

I haven't had any luck with this rom, using Gambatte on a Raspberry Pi 3.
"Invalid .RAR"

What am I doing wrong?
