kikujade means that Legend of Dragoon contains mod-chip detection software and refuses to boot to Playstations containing older 'non-stealth' mod-chips.

It's 2019 though and this problem was solved in hardware a long time ago.

Thank you, and yes, that is exactly what I meant. I have playstations with and without modchips that have the PSIO modboard installed as well. I'll try the patch on one of those (hopefully my modchips are stealth) and it should work.

If not, then I won't be able to play it.

Has anyone tried the patch with accurate emulators like Xebra or Mednafen?

An anonymous hacker already knocked at my door tonite and we kept discussing for like 12 hours. Gave him my blessing, all the tools (including stuff not present on Github), instructions to setup the environment, and some hacking directions. I'll also be assisting him whenever he needs a hand with technicalities. So yeah, a trustworthy person has been finally found. Don't know how long it will take him to fix the remaining issues, but I'm sure he's capable.

It seems Gemini decided to stop working on Mizzurna Falls and released the files so that someone else may finish it.

To make matters worse someone decided to compile it and share it here (it has been since removed at the request of the author), and he got so angry that he also deleted the github with the source code of his work.

What a freaking tragedy for the ps1 translation scene. Between this and front mission 2 and alternative, I don't know which is worse.

Is there any chance you could also remove the mod chip protection so that it is playable on a real console? I'd hate to play it on an emulator.

The current anti-mod patches have a ton of trainers that I don't care for, add an ugly intro, and interfere with things like the PS-IO.

If you can't or don't want to, don't worry, still an awesome effort!

The games I covered have either regional differences (Super Probotector), language options or there is no US-NTSC version of the game, like Super Bomberman 3.
It's no bad idea to provide extra information, but it was not in my interest to make you say "hell, I need to get the PAL version then!"
Instead, it's more like if you want to play the PAL version but you don't want that 50 FPS slowness, you can find those NTSC patches and apply them no matter how unskilled you are (despite needing to know how Lunar IPS works, but that's not hard is it?)

Thank you so much for your hard work!, now I will be able to play these PAL games on my Snes hardware using my SD2snes.

Question, how did you manage to hack so many games in one go?? is it a simple process?

Also, is there a chance of getting a patch like this for the remaining PAL games with advantages, or non existant is NTSC-U versions?, Examples:  Whirlo, Firemen, Parodius, Turbo Toons, Nightmare Busters, etc etc

Hi,

Sorry to butt in.

It seems Nintendo, is still insisting on doing their own thing, as opposed to what Microsoft and Sony are doing.

On one hand, Microsoft and Sony are following the PC market/Steam business model, and so they're getting both their hardware, software and business model closer to the PC. Microsoft will make their games playable on windows 10, Sony has the PSnow thing to play Sony games on PC. Plus their digital sales, deals, indie publishing etc, and now their mid-cycle upgrades for the "power user".

Nintendo on the other hand is following the casual market wherever they go. Seeing how cellphone gaming dominates in japan in terms on sales and revenue, and how it grabbed the casual gaming market all over the world, they've decided to follow that path and combine the best of both worlds, curiously by partnering with none other than nvidia.

Its like the cold war all over again, who will win this arms race? or will they continue to segment the market? I am very curious to see if both business models can coexist, or if one of them will have to evolve to survive. Sony and Microsoft are already talking about the future in a rather "grim" way by saying this might be their last home console.

Does this mean Nintendo will meld with the mobile market given their ever dominance with their handhelds and the recent  rise of the mobile market? or does this mean Microsoft and Sony will meld with the PC market given how PC Desktop technology has evolved into the accessibility it has now for the non-technical hardcore gamer and general user? has Steam set the path for the hardcore market?

What a time to be alive. I would definitely bet on both to succeed.

I noticed that a full english and italian translation for Berserk: Millennium Falcon Hen Seima Senki no Shō for PS2 has been released for a while now, but it's not listed on this site, I think it would be a good idea to add it to the database and host a copy of the translation while its still available.

ROM Hacking Discussion / Sanrio Smash Ball hack + translation not working together

I tried combining the new sanrio smash ball tournament hack with the translation available, but they don't seem to work well with each other? I can't get past the main menu once I apply both. I tried hack first, then patch, and vice versa. I'm using a no-intro rom with CRC 0E318416.

I noticed on the translation lists for Snes that the Fire Emblem games have old/incomplete translation of the fire emblem games, so I happened to stumble across the following link:
