I ready to play Zelda 2 again. Are there any patches to start the game off with the thrust moves?

Hi, are you patching the original Japanese ROM with PSSMAS_T-Eng_v200.IPS? If so, what program are you using to patch the file with? Are you sure it's not a header issue? You can find TUSH in RHDN's Utilities section. https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/608/ It will tell you if a ROM is headered or not, and can remove or add one at a button press.

There's also a site-accessible ROM patcher https://www.romhacking.net/patch/ as well as a hasher, that will help with headers. https://www.romhacking.net/hash/

I'm a dumbass. I was patching the exp patch before the actual trans patch.  :banghead: I got it working now. Thanks.

I can't get this rom to patch. Tried everything, the usual sites, unheadered roms, everything. And when I patch, no changes.

Can this run on the Super Everdrive?

Do one for Tetris and Dr. Mario so I can use the sram patch made only for the PAL version. That way my US Super Everdrive won't bitch about "This gamepak is only for PAL" bla bla bah.

I just wanna say the man responsible for that Silver Surfer hack deserves a standing ovation and possibly a trophy. Removing that stupid fucking animation is the best thing that has ever happened to a game.

For the Silver Surfer game, I wonder would it be possible to program an HP hack into the game so you don't die in one hit. At least 5 hits before death would be awesome. This patch is a step in the right direction for this horrible game.

What about the fact that since the "changes" made by the patch were patches made by Nintendo and most certainly their copyright.

^ THIS!!!!

The mapper replacement hacks are there to be a foundation for later hacks.
For what? A Yoshi NES hack?

I agree it has potential. There are Dash Blocks, and a "ground pound" patch that bashes blocks, and the SMB2 holding patch all on the SMWcentral website. Just scour the site and you can find things to put together a below average Warioland hack from SMW.

Or do like our lovable  ;D and informative  ;D friend SunGodPortal suggested and learn a little ASM for the other shortcomings SMW has.

You don't see the difference between someone who is being creative and trying to protect their work and someone else who only cares about making money from someone else's work which they had nothing to do with? To me that is a key difference. Money changes everything. It's not like any of what we do here is completely legal, but trying to suggest that what a hacker does as a hobby (with no ill consequences) and what a repro maker does to scam people (the hacker and the buyer) is equal seems strange. They may not be that different in the eyes of the law, but does the law really matter in this context?

Let's say I'm watching TV one day and I hear a funny joke. I then proceed to tell said joke to my frineds with a few words changed. I'm sure most people would agree that that is perfectly acceptable. Now, let's say that I go out and try to sell said joke to my friends (and my enemies). Most people would see a clear difference there and that the latter is clearly unacceptable.

And you don't see the difference between me not caring about any of this and puzzledude obsession with the repro stuff. Finished.

Learn ASM. Level editors don't typically add new functionality to games, hackers do.

I didn't know that  Thanks for reminding of that. That STILL doesn't mean this hack wasn't disappointing.

I love Wario Land and was interested in that hack, but now I'm less interested.

Sorry. That's just how I felt. I don't blame the hacker entirely, really. The tools and patches in SMW is just not good enough to make a real Warioland-style game. Trust me, I tried. It'll just leave you wanting to play the originals.

Your false assumption comes from the fact that you like carts. So if someone is against that, then he is according to you odd.

I told you before I don't support repros, nor do I give a shit about them selling GAME DEVELOPERS copyrighted material. If my Dr. mario world hack was popular enough to be repro I would be more flattered than angry, but there will be nothing I could do because we're all villians in the outside world, HACKER or REPROer alike. Your not the victim here. Its just that your obsession with these repros is rediculous.

But nothing I say is going to make a difference on this so i'm done.

Good luck in your fight, dawg.
