Haha! I love that, but - honestly - keep doing what you're doing :) It is a great gift to this community :)

Congratulations on your progress, Grungy!

I am watching this thread very closely. You are a star for making your tools open source :) I can't wait to play a final / release candidate version. WELL DONE, my friend!

I'm also sorry for flooding / necro bumping, but my god... I have to tell you all that Tom and the team have done an astonishing job with this translation. I completed the game a week ago, and was amazed at the quantity of dialogue changes after each minor event. I can only imagine the amount of work that went into this.

The game itself is wonderful. The translation is perfect. It is incredible to say it: but the quality of translation is as good as FEOE. I'm completely humbled this game has been made available to us all, through the kindness of a small (and incredibly special) team. Thank you so, so much.

If I may be so bold, Tom, do you intend to translate any more snes rpgs? And if so, what's on the horizon?

Huge thanks and congratulations again. Magnificent effort!

Awesome job. I adore that language format. So pretty. Congratulations!

Lovely to see these great words about Chris. A lovely reminder that we are standing on the shoulders of giants. To absent friends x

Congratulations on the release :)

Congratulations Tom! Let me apologize in advance for the emotional, glass of wine induced 'you are my hero' emails you will be getting!!

Seriously though - I was blown away by your last translation, and I can't wait to get stuck into this. You are a credit to the community, sir.

Amazing. That is one tough language to translate to, given it is RTL. Congratulations!

Massive congratulations to the whole team. Been waiting for this game to be translated since forever. Hard to explain how much this means to me. No exaggeration - been waiting for this day since the late ninetees. Such an achievement!

Thanks Tom. It is typically thorough of you to check on even that detail. Let me be the first to say: I won't be screaming for justice if this patch is released a little late! You are on the cusp of a very special achievement. It means so much to us! Just do what you can do - you've done the hard work already, sir :)

I am at work and can't try the patch. But just want to say: the idea sounds wonderful. It's fascinating Nintendo didn't store dragon coins with the original game, though the code shows they seriously thought about it at one stage. Would have made the orginal a metroidvania of sorts.

A few suggestions:

1. Could you please make a version without any graphical changes? Love the dragon coin screen idea without artistic changes.

2. I'd like the 100% dragon coin collection goal to result in a message appearing on the title screen, as a simple message, perhaps :) no other celebration needed imo.

Great work!

Tales of Phantasia, Wozz, Dual Orb 2, Arabian Nights, Treasure Hunter G, Herakles 4... all games I knew nothing about until their translations emerged. (Granted - I must have been living under a rock not to have heard of ToP!).

I strongly believe you guys create a piece of gaming history with these fan localisations. That is a bigger thing than 'popularity'. You leave your mark on the gaming tapestry forever. It is an achievement I honestly believe will outlive us all. Historians will cite your work, and the true value of these games and the communities who cherished and localised them will matter more than we can anticipate now.

I think you are doing an unbelievable job.

Tom and team: Please add me to the list of people who are incredibly excited for this release, and grateful for your brilliant work. (What a team!). Are you saying the whole game is 90% complete?

Just wanted to say - I am really impressed by the work done on this hack. It's a game changer. Thank you for the amazing work.

I am so surprised to see people have already completed it. It has taken me hours just to get the first 2 power ups (though I have found loads of missiles).

As a Metroid veteran, I would personally like to see better signposting for what to do next. I am in the forest area at the moment and the warping level design completely baffles me.

Thanks!

Yep - Had to chime in and add my own 'Great work!', 'Go for it!', and various 'You rock!' sentiments :) Congratulations on your recent breakthroughs with the battle text. The work you've presented so far is extremely promising. Happy new year, and thank you!

Track H is my favourite, but they are both wonderful. This is simply one of the most promising hacks I've ever seen. 10 / 10 so far man! Wow!
