Looking good, nice work by all.  The game is almost starting to look like a commercially produced NES title now.

Wow, this is really impressive work, Keith.  Nice job on the team logos especially, but with all of the other changes that you have planned, this hack is shaping up to be a classic one for baseball fans.

Yeah, I got that you were going for more of a localization, I'm just a bit of a purist is all.  I cringed when they brought Gunnm over here and retitled it "Battle Angel Alita."  Different strokes for different folks, no disrespect meant.

Yeah, you really knocked it out of the park on the second one, it's just a bit of a shame that the "Top Secret" part of the title couldn't be preserved somehow.

Wow, those look pretty sweet, nice job.

In my opinion the title name should be Top Secret: Hitler's Revival.

Seconded, but I have to admit that the titlescreen that FlashPV showed in the preceding post looks pretty tight.

Cartoonish or not, these sprites have a slick style to them, and the main character sprite especially is a significant improvement over the existing one.  I know if it was my game, I'd happily accept the submission (as long as there are no technical issues to implementing them).  I've done some minor sprite work in the past for a very high-profile homebrew release and I can recognize quality work when I see it, but I do acknowledge that part of the satisfaction the author derives from the project may come from making all of the elements of the game himself (although judging from the projects I've lent a hand to, this tends to become a daunting and time-consuming endeavor).

Wow, that Mario sprite shown in the video is the best I've ever seen in an NES game.  I so want to play this.

:police: Grammar Police:  It should be "framed for" instead of "framed of".

Actually, I rewrote the whole thing to flow better (feel free to use it as is or adapt it any way you choose):

"Link has been falsely accused of Princess Zelda's kidnapping.  Now a wanted elf, Link sets out to rescue her and clear his name.  But when evil forces emerge to threaten Hyrule, Link must rally to save his kingdom.  A hero will rise."

Jonathan's sprite doesn't look very hardcore, but at least it is easier to spot now.  :-\

Well, it's a shame then that nobody offered to help you with it, because it certainly would have looked (and sounded) much better.

I don't know why you didn't use something like "Legends  League" for the all-time teams instead of "Star     League", because the huge gap between the words is kind of unsightly.

At the risk of sounding unappreciative, are there still plans to make a version of this patch with the ending credits translated?  Did tomaitheous run into some kind of snag or is it just on his backburner?  I expect there to be the typical rebukes and "Die monster. You don't belong in this world!" references etc. so fire away.

It's a shame that no one responded to the guy above, his patch looked really cool.  :(

The gameplay looks amazing in the youtube video, it kind of reminds me of Turrican.  That leg animation when the character is walking is terrible though, you really need to revisit the frames on that.  The one other suggestion that I would offer is to make the character look less like a Lego man (I think that it's mostly the shape of the head/helmet that gives this impression).  Other than these minor points, the game looks very impressive.  Well done!

Yeah, I'd have to agree that associating the name Jesus with a dreadful bio-monster probably wouldn't have gone over too well in countries with a Christian background.  >:D  Gotta love the Japanese, they're probably oblivious to how irreverent and in poor taste that would be interpreted as.

Yay, Gunbuster shots!  8)  I can't figure why the character names are in Katakana since they are both Japanese, but SRW must be crazy like that.

Some/all of these may or may not be doable, but here is my list:

1) Make Vampire Hunter/Night Warriors for Sega Saturn use the RAM cartridge so that all animation frames can be utilized in non-same character matches (there is a hidden menu in the game that enables full animation in same character matches, so I know that the frames are on the disc).

2) Make X-Men: COTA for Sega Saturn use the RAM cartridge so that all character animation frames can be utilized during actual gameplay (it always seemed to me like the attract mode for the game used all of the frames, but once you actually started a game the animation became more stilted).

3) Make Metal Slug for Sega Saturn use the 4MB RAM cartridge so that the game doesn't suffer from the horrendous slowdown that bogs it down in places (I don't know if this is even possible at all, more RAM may not be able to correct the issue as it might be processor speed related).

4) Import the English subtitles from the US release of Shenmue for Sega Dreamcast into the Japanese game, or the Japanese dialogue from the Japanese release into the US game, whichever is easier.

As I said, some of these may be just short of impossible, but I figured that they'd be worth listing here anyway.

I have to agree with Ace on this one. For one reason. If this were given to the average person that has no idea about the rest of the series they wouldn't have any reason to think it's a parody of star soldier. Parodier sounds like it's meant to be the job title of a person that parodies things. From a localization point of view it would make much more sense to include the l if for nothing else than recognizably. You give Paroldier to the average person and they will instantly think of the word soldier since it's the most commonly used word, or pretty much the only one, in English that has "ldier" in it. I would definitely go with Paroldier; space permitting.
Exactly my point, thank you for stating it so eloquently.
