Title: Castle Shikigami 1 [Shikigami no Shiro] : Released!
Post by: cj iwakura on August 22, 2009, 01:04:42 pm
Hi all. I've asked around at a few niche boards, and had a hard time getting any info or interest for this project, so that brings me here.

I'd like to undertake a translation for the original Castle Shikigami.

(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/a4/Mobile_Light_Force_2_Cover.jpg) / (http://www.alfasystem.net/game/shiki/image/settei3.jpg)

It was released on PC, Xbox, and PS2, and the PS2 in the states.

However, the US version was infamously butchered, leaving all the dialogue removed, and portraits taken out.

So, I'd like to start a translation for the original(PC) version.

This is a shmup, and has minimal dialogue, but at very least, there are seven different storylines, with character dialogue between the bosses and monologues taking place between each stage.

Unlike the sequels, SnS 1 doesn't have voice acted dialogue, only minimal used during the stages.

Unfortunately, I'm basically an amateur in the field. I have no experience with hacking, and minimal knowledge of the language, but I'm willing to learn.

I do have access to the PC version.

So if there's anyone with knowledge of hacking PC dialogue and/or love for the SnS series, I'd greatly appreciate the assistance.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there.

I have a very awesome collaborator who's working on hacking this game's text for me.

Once we manage to crack Shiki 1, we'll be rolling.

Just an fyi.

Now, it's about justice!

So hey, we need some hacker assistance on this.

Shikigami 1 is proving a tough nut to crack.

If you want to help us out, email me at cjiwakurax@aol.com or hit me up on AIM: cjiwakurax.

Thanks a bunch.

Here's a sample of what we're up against here:

Code: [Select]
EAX=00000000, ECX=00000000, EDX=00000000, EBX=00000000,
ESP=00000000, EBP=00000000, ESI=00000000, EDI=00000000
main  00423D96                    MOV AX,WORD PTR DS:[ECX]
EAX=00000000, ECX=0082B998, EDX=000000D0, EBX=00000000,
ESP=000CFE54, EBP=00727208, ESI=00000002, EDI=00000000

Update:

Quote
I did look for SJIS strings but no luck. I haven't tried unicode (I always forget about it since I've only reversed one game that used unicode).

I should say the code isn't the problem as I can read it fine enough to know mostly what's happening. My problem is the graphics themselves since I'm not very good at figuring out graphic formats and such.

The *.dat files are what I suspect holds the text somehow. From what I've seen there a simple archive format (I can describe it if you like) that holds LZSS compressed files. From what I've noticed, the files when uncompressed appear to be some type of image format. My reasoning being how many 0s are in there, as well as the grouping of the bytes (basically a large transparent graphic with something in the middle, like how our text shows up).

I suspect it's *.dat files since those are the ones it keeps accessing right before displaying the text.

One thing I noticed which I found interesting is I found a routine which appears to use those files to index something (maybe a font?) but later on it is accessed by my nvidia driver. I could be mistaken honestly so hey :) I'm more use to dealing with compressed text of some kind and graphics aren't my thing at all unless there obvious in the format they use. I'm almost certain there TGA files, but i'm not sure how to rebuild the header for it.

Later on I can post up a portion of the uncompressed piece of one of the files. if anyones interested I don't have access to my code on the laptop I'm using right now though.

Are you sure about the first instruction in that code sample AX is a 16 bit register but the rest seem to be 32 bit registers. I don't know too much assembly but there seems to be a call instruction (00462101  CALL 0042DD40) that simply jumps to the next line maybe the code is some how hiding parts of itself.

So if anyone cares, this project is on indefinite flatline. I haven't heard from Esper Knight in months.

Shame too, because he seemed to be making progress.

So if you have any love for hacking an obscure PC shmup and making it English, hit me up.

Rise, grave, etc.

We ain't done yet, dang it.

Me and Esper are back on the grind.

But we need a translator!

We can't promise fame or glory, but there will be lots of hilarious dialogue for us to improv.

As of now, the XS Games version is the only way to play this game in English; if you can call it that.

You don't want that and neither do I.  So send me an IM or email me or whatever.

If you can translate Japanese to English, your assistance is welcome; bonus if you have previous
experience with this stuff, but honestly, we'll take what we can get.

Let me clarify a little: this will not be a very large job. At all.

Shikigami 1 has seven characters. There's five stages.

Each character has maybe 25 lines of dialogue, 30 counting the ending, tops.

So we're looking at a few pages of work, if that.

This would be a pretty short-term job.

May 08, 2010, 11:18:22 am - (Auto Merged - Double Posts are not allowed before 7 days.)
Good news: I have a translator.

So it has begun.

The above screencap roughly translates to "What are you looking at, asshole?", or so I'm told.

Here's my improvised result, to add flavor(and character specifics).

[Redacted]

So that's a taste of the 'feel' I'm going for.

Now we just need to hack this thing.

So I'm updating the request: I need someone to help us integrate the changed text. This is the hardest part of the task, and likely the most time-consuming.

I'll still take any assistance, but the translation part is pretty much covered.

The font is still up in the air, but I like this one. Palatino Type, 14.

Well, my hacker's made no progress as of yet, and no translator wants to stick with me on this, so it's still on indefinite hiatus.

I took a look at it. Got kind of tripped up over the background elements. Alfa System games have their own world, basically. Look at the length of this article on Wikipedia (http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E7%84%A1%E5%90%8D%E4%B8%96%E7%95%8C%E8%A6%B3). That is considered a stub.

I wrote the HG101 article and help run the wikia article on the series.

This game's plot is more convoluted than it has any right to be.

It was not an easy write-up. I had to scour Japanese fansites just to get an inkling of what the heck these games are about, especially Shikigami 1, since XS butchered it to pieces.

Then I found out about the text adventure through google searching. You can imagine my reaction.  :banghead:

I don't really agree with u but it's your choice :p
Anyway.. I don't have Shikigami No Shiro1 so I gave a look at shikigami no shiro 2 PC and PS2.
I presume that they present some similarity.
Purely by looking at the tree in the game directory, there are not too many places where to hide the text:
-the exe (in both versions and i belive that i have seen some English and Japanese text on it and somewhere it say something about "huffman" so the LZSS compression u was talking about is probable)
-the 2 bin in the directory media (not think so)
-any of the bin or har files in the directory cdimg
The PC and PS2 version they have the same .har files on it and even some named the same name so i belive that if u can crack that file, u probably can translate both versions.
Har is looking like an archive file with 1 or many files inside of it:

4bytes Magic word "HGAR"
2bytes ???? x0700
2bytes number of files in the archive
4bytes start offset in this file of the first file in the archive
4bytes start offset in this file of the second file in the archive
...
4bytes end offset in this file of the last file in the archive
4+4bytes for each file in the archive (many xFF00FF00) maybe a sound call?? (xFF00=no sound)
...

File listing (the following part is not present in all files and it's not precise)
2bytes Consecutive numeration of the files (starting with x00)
(in cs_title.har, there are 2 times a number 3 referring to a copy_taito.hpt, i belive a Taito logo that is not present in the PC version)
3bytes Null x0000
xbytes Name of the first file in the archive
2byte Null x0000
...
2bytes Consecutive numeration of the files (last file)
2bytes Null x0000
xbytes Name of the first file in the archive (last file)
4byte Null x0000

Data start (normally all files start with the name of the file and the offset point to the first letter of the name)

I checked the single file only with a bmp, i saw only later that inside the exe there is the word "JPEG" so maybe should check with a Jpeg header.
If u have a working LZSS de/compressor, could u pass it to me??
By looking at the file list on the har files, i noted many files named .mes ..sound interesting and in the file system.har there are many files with "font" in it.

By the way, here u have some japanese text extracted from PS2 executable (above) and the PC executable (below):
I hope i could help u a bit.
Work is calling me now

I am taking a look at the script, for what it’s worth, but one of the things I don’t like about STG translations is that they don’t give you much to work with, particularly with in-depth background. Without that background, you can say whatever and nobody will care. With it... heaven help you if you get it wrong. You will have ruined the canon FOREVAR D:

We already have Kohtaro Stage 1's dialogue translated, and par for the course, there's little to no background at all.

It basically amounts to

-Those bastards are murdering women! I'll go stop them!

-You! You're bad! I'm going to punish you for being bad because I'm a detective that punishes bad people!

So yeah. This isn't exactly going to be difficult. Shikigami's one of those games where all the backstory is in the background. You have to piece it together from the sparse text, and good luck with that.

And hey, translating the PS2 version isn't in the realm of impossibility. If we find it's possible and/or easier, we will try that too.

Also, question for you translation vets:

is Kohtaro preferable for this kind of thing, or Kohtarou?

Just in case you want to translate the name of the game itself, you could call it:

"Castle of the Divination God(s)"

It might not be 100% accurate, but it's the best concise rendering I can think of. A shikigami (式神) is apparently a spirit called upon by priests of the Yin-Yang sect of Buddhism(?) during divination ceremonies. According to believers, the spirit has the power to look into people's souls and examine/divine their balance of good and evil.

Good luck. HTH.

Then I doubt you understood what I meant at all. The sparse text, informal speech that does not translate well, indirectly piecing together background... these things are precisely what makes it painful. Without attentive care paid to these sorts of details, you may as well... well, “babelfish the damn thing” as it has been eloquently put. There will be little to no difference in the end result.

No seriously, I stay away from Touhou translation patches because I can only read a limited number of awkward translations at a time.

is Kohtaro preferable for this kind of thing, or Kohtarou?
Neither. That would be switching convention in the middle of a word. Kōtarō or Koutarou would be preferred. The “oh” convention has gone by the wayside, actually, in part because it has been applied so inconsistently even within words and names with two おう sounds.

Everything I know about SnS1's story, I learned from the official websites and by scouring the internet.
(See HG101 writeup)

The game tells just about nothing. TL;DR: female victims have been found murdered by electrocution.

A freelance group of psychic operatives have been called upon to solve the case.

This is pretty much the story of every Shikigami game, except it's New World Order lead by Kohtaro's undead brother in the second and a group lead by Kohtaro's undead girlfriend in the third.

Everything always revolves around that idiot for some reason.

Shikigami 3 has the best localization, if you want to see the game handled by people who know how to translate.

He's delightfully idiotic.

And no, we're not calling it anything but Castle Shikigami/Shikigami no Shiro.

It'd be like localizing SMT II as True Goddess Metampsychosis 2.

Yeah, I know all about the Touhou fantranslations. They're painfully vague.

Though I kind of like a couple of them.

@cj iwakura: can u tell us at what point u are on the work??
Did the infos i posted about the .har files usefull??
Did u already know about those things??
Do u have a window/dos version of a LZSS de/compressor u can give me??
I lack in programming skills so i can't make one by myself.

I just fixed my PS2 so I can try to see where are the differences are and maybe try to translate the parts I find on the executable but I belive that there is mostly menu only things in it even if I have seen a part that look suspicious on the exe.

Let me / us know what u know about the technical stuff in this games...all the translations details and name, can be discussed after when we have found the text :p

This means u still not have any program (especially that LZSS decompressor) and no informations what so ever about the technical stuff on this game??

I was checking the PS2 executable..there are menu stuff, memory card stuff, option screen stuff, maybe debug stuff too and the staff roll on it. No signs of the text (at least not in shift-jis and not compressed).

The PC executable don't show anything with ResourceHacker apart some configurations screens.

Umm...now i have to find out who Esper is :p
Anyway, be ready for a long post heheh
I had some spare time burning some DVD and looking at the progress bar wasn't funny so I turned on my ps2, took some pics of the parts in japanese, opened up google translator, my hex editor with the ps2 executable and here it comes:
the first part of the menu text translated.
Please check the names  ( I belive u can do that :p) and I'm open for corrections on those translations, i "cleaned" those up a but to fit the way they will appear in the game (most are exactly the opposite as in screen in other hand, this list is like they appear in the executable).
Can u tell me more about the "wait" option?? Do u have an advanced savegame for the ps2 and pc version??
Especially with the "extra options" and freeplay open.
Because I got this far, I decided to make at least a partial translation of both versions.

Please check the menu text for errors especially help me out where u see "???"...thanks
Menu text (http://pastebin.com/Y9c6ucVV)
(Moderation edit: Moved the large amount of text to an external site.)

Just some cheat/tricks for all player of this game.
-On the demostration screen (tested on the ps2 version and both screeens: the full screen screen and the "sidebar" screen) press Right, right, left, left, up, down, up, down to see 2 lines of debug.
-To play as Chibi Fumiko (young Fumiko): on the character selector, press right 2 times when she is highlighted.
-For each hour of gameplay, u will get a credit more and when u reach 6 hours, u will get "free play" and "extra options".
Have fun

Part 1 was only partially successfull:
-overwriting in ASCII (one byte) over the Japanese (2bytes) didn't created big problems, only the letter q is missing (and maybe some others unused from my experience with FF7I).
-usually there is plenty of space to write
-the text get truncated on screen, I still have to check out why it is so but i belive there is a pointer / length pair (a pointer to tell where the text start and length for tell how many characters to read or how many characters to write on screen).

Hey there! I'm dropping by to let everyone know that I'm a volunteer translator currently working on this project. So far I've only got 3 sets of dialog for Kuga translated, but the text is really simple and sparse so it isn't that time-consuming. I'm using the text dump cjiwakura linked to earlier, which isn't actually the entire text but does contain a large chunk of dialog for all the playable characters. I figure it would behoove me to officially make my presence known instead of staying at the periphery.

Hi there,
good that somebody is working on the translation but for the moment it's looking like nobody really is interested on it.
I'm working on SnS2 for PS2 and PC and cj iwakura seems fixed with SnS1.
I didn't realize that SnS Ex is a port of SnS1 and this week there will probably not be any progress because I'm busy with RL.
Anyway your work will come handy if cj iwakura&co or me have some success in finding the ingame text.
I belive that the 2 games are so similar that if we crack one, we crack all the serie.

Only thing is, you're working on hacking SnS2PS2, and we're (trying to) hack SnSPC.

But if it turns out to be easier, what the hell, we'll switch gears.

I assume this board doesn't care one way or another. PS2 emulation isn't that difficult.

By that I mean burning to a DVDR.

There is, but it needs a rather powerful system.
I've used PCSX2. I was able to play FFX:I, oddly getting almost full-speed gameplay but like 60% speed cutscenes. Then again, that might be because it's because it's been heavily used for testing, or so I hear. (Athlon X2, 1 GB RAM (I think), 1 GB video card)
(using an ISO I ripped from an original disc, because I don't want to modchip my actual console just to play the few JPN games I bought)

OOOPPPSSS, I did it again!
I lost 2 hours of sleep and spend them in front of the PC :(

Anyway...

OMG cj iwakura: if u don't even know if PS2 emulation exist, I ask me how u want to "switch gears" and hack the PS2 version.
What u apparently don't get is that the files / files system on the pc version and PS2 are almost identical.
If u read back on my posts, u maybe noticed when i was talking about the har files and the taito screen that isn't in that version because in the various versions, they just modified what they need to make the game run on that system and let inside even inused things:

There are many way to test the PS version:
-emulation ("play" the game on pc)
-HD Advance Server (send the modified ISO to the HDD of the real PS2)
-CD-RW/DVD-RW ( i heared that somebody got that to work in some real PS2)
-CD-R/DVD-R (like i have done with the first part translation because i'm waiting to get the right cable for HD Advance).

So, now for my lost sleep:
I found the text in SnS Ex but don't get to excited...it's still a long way to go.
There seem to be 4 bytes that tell the dimentions of the text and i doubled the size in one and cut to half in the other screenshot.

Original first sentence of Kuga:

The doubled size:

And the one cut in half:

By running some numbers (bxh) u get 1176bytes but there are only 800byte of before the next sentece start.
This means there is some compression on the game.

Good to see progress on this game :)  I haven't had much time to look at it in a long while.  I'm curious how you found the text though as I know there compressed graphics but couldn't exactly track them down (I think I did find them at one point though...  And graphics hacking is definitely not one of my strong points).  If I'm right there compressed using LZSS and somewhere I have a backup that contains the code for decompressing them if that helps.

Hi Esperknight,
if u are talking about the parts i translated already, they are all inside the executable.
To find the ingame text was easy by studing the files name and drastically rename the files on the pc version till the game crashed/freezed or just not continue on the first dialog of Hiro.
Then look inside that file to see that (like the whole serie), every file has many more sub-files inside of them and all the pointers at the beginning of the file (some have even 2 pointer tables if i saw it right). So i started put some zeros on each pointed part inside the file till the text gliched.
Latelly (and probably for the next 2 months) i will be pretty busy in rl but if u could compile your decompressor for window, we could try on the file part that I have pointed out. If it's working, i will give u more details about the file format so that u could complete your decompressor in decompressing all sub-file inside a file by reading the pointers. Like that it will be faster to find the rest of the text and other texts/graphics that need translation.

Hey Auryn,
I got that far too although very different method (I did it the much harder way now that I remember a bit more... I looked at the last file read... can't remember the file name (wasn't it kuga something?  I don't believe it was named after the guy from what I remember...) though for which one had the text.  I should've thought of that below (just renaming the files) but ah well :)  I believe mine already breaks apart the file and everything... can't remember if I was lazy or not though (which is possible) as I might have just extracted the one piece to test my decompression algorithm.  You wouldn't happen to know how to find the bit depth and height and width would you yet though?  I haven't scoped out the directx functions to see if I can find it that way yet.

Actually it's the first time for me too but that should not really be sooooo complicated.
Many image formats have those informations (hxb/depth) in the header or they are somehow in the bytes that i was modifying for the screens above.
So we should check the header in the decompressed sub-file (if they have one).
The arcade version is on Taito GNET system, based on a R3000 processor (should be very similar to the PSX and maybe narrow down what format the images are).
GNET Spec can be found here: http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=672 (http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=672)
SnS should be running in a vertical raster 640x480 @ 60.000000 Hz (infos here: http://maws.mameworld.info/minimaws/set/shikigam (http://maws.mameworld.info/minimaws/set/shikigam)) this means that if that image format doesn't have a header, at least we can probably narrow down the dimentions by comparing the dimentions on screen.

Umm u want to rip/track the directx to see how the image is displayed??
I belive that maybe this can be usefull then: http://www.deep-shadows.com/hax/3DRipperDX.htm (http://www.deep-shadows.com/hax/3DRipperDX.htm)

Thanks CJ..it was a typo some post again heheh.

Do u have a complete text dump and translation of the in-game text on paper/in your pc??

Will u create the new pics with the translated text?? U will probably need to create them with a program that can work with transparency like Photoshop/Gimp/Paintshop (not comfirmed yet).

Hey there. I finished Kuga up to Stage 4 and started working on Sayo's dialog as well. One thing I need to point out though is that site you linked earlier only goes up to stage 4 out of 5, so I don't have all the dialog in the game. There's also all the text for the non-dialog stuff, which I don't have any of either.
Title: Re: Castle Shikigami 1 [Shikigami no Shiro] : Update 5/8, hacking assists welcome
Post by: Auryn on October 20, 2010, 08:35:09 pm
I belive that the most of the non-dialog text is self explainatory apart maybe the weapon"tutorial".
I'm still busy and still not go that decompressor. If no other text dump is found, we can make screens by plaing the game or by just dump the rest of the text with the decompressor.
Anyway i belive that u have enougth translations to do till u run out of text heheh.

Another translation update: I've finished Saya's dialog and started on Gennojo's. I also realized that the script I'm working with doesn't include the dialog with the sixth character, Tagami. I know that she doesn't personally say anything, but it seems that each boss does have unique dialog for her.

This one? No (proper) localization.

I've got all of the dialogue translated...kind of. I looked back at my earlier work and it's in really jumbled English that doesn't actually make sense. So, I feel compelled to go through it and give it another run through so someone could actually read logical conversations. This game has deceptively complex dialogue for a shmup. Part of that is because there's not a lot of context inherent in the genre.

Mad progress. Pending touch-up work and clarifications, the script is now 72% done. (All we have left are Gennojo Hyuga and Tagami, the silent Elemental Gearbolt cameo character.)

All we have to figure out now is the coding. :P

Well, I'm pretty sure she's not in the script, so it's understandable. But she is in the PC version, so it does matter.

The bosses still talk to her, she just never responds.

You have two choices.

A. See the pictures, then get caught.
Or B. Caught, and then see the pictures.
(Play Shikigami 2 for reference points.)

Just the first couple stages, so we can have some surprises.

Looks really good! I wish is was the Xbox version though! Speaking of the Xbox versions (of which there are three), I think you HG101 article is a bit incorrect. Here's what you have:

"The Xbox version, published by Media Quest, is dubbed Shikigami no Shiro Evolution and was released in two separate versions. The Red version included an art gallery while the Blue version contained developer interviews. There's also a new Evolution mode which revises some of the game elements."

What you should have said:

"The Xbox version was published by Media Quest and released on March 14th, 2002. A few months later, on December 19th, they released an updated version, dubbed Shikigami no Shiro Evolution. This game added some new bonus features, a new Evolution mode which revises some of the game elements, and a second disc, a PC CD-Rom. Publisher MediaQuest pulled off a variant cover gimmick for Shikigami no Shiro Evolution where the girls in the game are featured on the cover of a "Red" version and the boys appear on the front of the "Blue" Edition. The Blue version's PC disc is called 'Confidential' and the Red version's is called, 'Complete', presumably both with different content. The Xbox discs, however, other than the color and artwork on the disc, are identical.

First, here are box shots of the three versions:

Shikigami no Shiro (Xbox):
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-01-49-en-70-2ped.html

Shikigami no Shiro Evolution (Ai/ Blue) (Xbox):
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-01-49-en-70-1ux.html

Shikigami no Shiro Evolution (Beni/ Red) (Xbox) (called 'Rainbow' in the link below for some reason?):
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-01-49-en-70-1uw.html

I have come to this conclusion due to the following. This quote from http://www.shopncsx.com/shikigaminoshiroblue.aspx :

"NCSX: Publisher MediaQuest pulls off a variant cover gimmick where the girls in the game are featured on the cover of a 'Red' version and the boys appear on the front of the 'Blue' Edition."

In addition, the Japanese text on the back of the red and blue versions are identical, other than concerning the CD-ROM.

I own the non-Evolution version for Xbox, as well as the blue covered Evolution version. Here are the options on both:

Original:

NORMAL
PRACTICE MODE
OPTION
 (In option mode)
   SCREEN (two options, in Japanese)
   DIFFICULTY (5 variations)
   WAIT (on or off)
   BGM VOLUME
   SE VOLUME
   BGM TEST (12 tracks)
   GALLERY (10 pics)
   EXIT

Evolution (Blue at least, probably Red):

Evo. MODE
NORMAL
PRACTICE MODE
OPTION
 (In option mode)

   EXIT
SCREEN (NORMAL, ARCADE, ROTATE) (in English)
   DIFFICULTY (5 variations)
   WAIT (on or off)
   BGM VOLUME
   SE VOLUME
   BGM TEST (13 tracks)
   MOVIE TEST (plays the intro)
   GALLERY (same 10 pics)
   BUTTON ASSIGN
SIDE STORY (nothing more than 14 pages of text in Japanese)

Now, I haven't unlocked anything, so I'm not sure if more stuff opens up. But everything points to both Evo versions having the same content. I'm not sure where the "making of" stuff is located.

The hacking tool is finally done. Now the real work begins. The game has been genuinely cracked.

All we have to do is implement(and finalize) the text.

In case you're curious, the reason the game has been hell to hack is because the text is not script based, it's graphic based.

the blur is due to the game itself.  These screenshots don't help due their own compression and what not but it does look better in game.  I thought the skinny one was harder to read.  Course I could be odd and I'm the minority so hopefully if its a problem others will chime in although I'm not sure iif cj iwakura wouldlike that after doing all these graphics :)

I'm thinking if I were to edit it, I'd stretch out the white boxes and put something to the effect of
'The Castle of Shikigami'. Just as an idea.

“Castle Shikigami” is less awkward-sounding, methinks.

I don’t know what exactly you mean by stretching out the boxes, but I get the feeling that would kind of kill the “traditional Japanese design” look it has going (I’m like 50% sure there’s someone out there who could identify it by name). You’d be better off mimicking the Evolution logo, which is not only itself evocative of a Japanese style of lacquerware, but also gives you a reliable guide to work from, look-wise.

Funny you should mention, because I was considering that too.

(The EX logo appears when you start the game, the one above when you start Normal mode.)

Uses the same motif.

And what I mean is basically making those squares into rectangles, and replacing them with English text.

At very least, I'll probably do a mock-up of what I have in mind.

So uh,

if you have SnS EX on your CPU, congratulations, you can has open beta.

The rest is errata that's gonna take a while, so I wanted to put the good stuff out there for the die-hard fans(all five of them) to enjoy.

Script and endings are 100%. I look forward to any impressions or feedback, and enjoy the doc as well, from one Shiki fan to another.

Miyoko and Hiroshi sound great, but the others... I dunno, maybe I need to hear them in game.

Hiroshi, Fujishima, and Kim are the same actor.

Very talented guy. I love his Fujishima.

The Miyoko will also be doing Sayo Yuuki.

Good thing the last post was VA related!

All the voices are embedded in a .DLS. Should be easy to replace them with the dub clips. That's the hope, anyway.

Or not... doing so killed all the sound effects. :( We'll figure it out.

So uh, it's out now. :P Honestly not that much different from the beta, apart from having voices(with amazing sound tweaking done contributed by DackR)

Seeing the official release with its typos, grammar errors, and such pained me, so I just had to get this out in the wild. Hopefully you have an enjoy.

I may still add voice files for Shoujo and Fumiko down the line, I have a friend who's taking a crack at it.

Thanks for everyone here who helped it happen!
