Hi there,
I just released an english translation for the SNES game Cotton 100% (https://www.romhacking.net/translations/6365/).
If you find any bugs, spelling, grammar or other mistakes, please leave me a feedback here and I will do a 1.1 version.
Thank you.

Found some small things here and there, so here they are. The issue is on the left; the fix - on the right:
Lets go -> Let's go! (at the end of the first cutscene)
You really don't know anyhing -> anything, 2nd cutscene
Cotten -> Cotton, 3rd cutscene
Who would've thought it works so well -> Who would've thought it'd work so well... (the cutscene before the final boss)
weeklings -> weaklings (the cutscene before the final boss)
rescueing -> rescuing (final cutscene)
That's all I've noticed, but perhaps someone else's gonna add more to the pile. :) Thanks for the patch, I quite like this series!

This isn't in the cutscenes so I have no clue how easy this is to fix, but in the power select screen Barrier is spelled Barrior.

Cool project!
It would be a good idea to have native English speaker/writer have a look through everything in the script.
Looking forward to a final release with typos and grammatical errors fixed.
-
Thank you for the feedback.
I found a native english speaker to check the script. There will be an update soon.
Barrier is wrong in the original Rom. I will check if I can fix that one too.

Oh shit finally! Always wanted to see this game translated.
-
I think with this all the Cotton games are now translated to English, right?

It would seem so, unless you count Magical Pachinko Cotton. Would be nice of them to resurrect this series and have more worldwide releases, even if infrequent ones.

The native english speaker did a complete script revision. New script is inserted and the BARRIOR-graphic is hacked to BARRIER.
Will do some testing and then upload a version 1.1 tomorrow.

Someone contacted me and told he cannot get the game running on real hardware.
Well, it works on my SNES.
Did anyone experience problems with real hardware here?
Oh, and: Hi Ice Man :woot!: Nice to hear from you. How is Toads World 2 coming along?

It works perfectly on original hardware, as well as on Analogue Super Nt.

I'm the one contacting svambo.
My patched rom does not work. But Svambo asked if the original works and indeed it doesn't start either. I use a sd2snes with the current beta firmware. Maybe thats the issue? But I didn't face any other rom that doesn't work. All other originals (also those with enhancement chips) do work and the other romhacks I patched.
I'll try the latest stable version and try to reproduce the issue.
/e: With 1.10.3 it doesn't work either. I now try to run the sd2snes diagnostics firmware to figure out if anything is wrong.
/e2: I just figured out that I have a SD2SNES Pro / FXPak Pro and not the "old" one. I also ran the diagnostics firmware which passed all tests. The SNES burn-in test rom worked without an issue.
I opened a github issue as it seems like a FXPak Pro issue to me as the unmodified game does not work either.

I'm sure Ikari will take a look at this. Please keep us updated here. Maybe others have the same problem ...

I found something. When forcing to 50 Hz (I have a PAL console) it starts. Ikari gave me the hint that it could be something timing sensitive and I think he is right. I don't know it if this can be fixed on a SD2SNES. If you're interested, follow the github issue I linked above

It works on my SD2SNES

I have late news. The issue was with the PAL master clock. The game itself is buggy and has issues starting. On PAL consoles there is a race condition because it slightly clocks slower.
This does also affect the unpatched game.
Ikari explained a patch to fix the race condition bug so it actually boots now.
Check the github link I posted earlier

Good to hear you figured it out
Hope you have some fun with the game.
-
Absolutely. The game is so cute and a blast.
I also ordered the aftermarket release from strictly limited games. Let's see the differences in translation.

100% HYPE :woot!: thanks :woot!:
