So this is a thing.  The Big N has done similar stuff in the past but looks like they're targeting stuff one website at a time.


I just got back into the scene too.



What are everyone's thoughts here on this?

Looks like Universe is yet another romsite that charged money for premium accounts.  That's a no-no on any level; if not Nintendo, someone else could've shot them down pretty easily.

You said it. They've taken down YouTube videos, too. Examples include episodes of animated media relating to franchises like Kirby and Pokemon (the latter being especially problematic due to copyright concerns with SHOPRO, who also helped make a series Nintendo would eventually make games of, Hamtaro), and music tracks lifted directly from their games, even those extended to play for 30 minutes straight.
