The red outlines on surfaces in Zero Mission have always annoyed me, so I'm changing them all to black.
I know, it's not exactly an impressive goal, but hey.
I *appear* to have gotten them all in MAGE, and am doing my own test run right now to see if I can find any I missed in play.
If anyone is interested, I can put up a test version to try out for others in a day or two, but I'm not sure anyone else actually wants this?
For comparison!

Do you have any screenshots?

This needs comparison screenshots between red and black outlines.

Fair point - have added the basic opening in both to original!
(I've also found an animation - the after-Kraid activation of the Gate to Tourian - that still has red lines, despite the actual room not having them anymore, so am trying to hunt why.)

Honestly, I prefer the red outlines, but it does look good enough to justify making this a hack.

Considering the red outlines were likely intentional in both Fusion and Zero Mission for the foreground to stick out on GBA screens, I like how it looks more pleasing on a larger display

Yeah, both the red lines and the high color saturation are products of working with kind of dim, tiny LCD screens.
Shaders can solve for the saturation, but the lines need to be taken out manually.
(I mean, not that I expect most people to prefer it or even care, but I like my Metroid just that bit more gloomy and atmospheric rather than crisp and hi-vis)
