Title: add bytes in a rom

Hello everybody, I'm new here and I want to translate Pirate!Gold(Megadrive/genesis) in french, but french needs more letters than english, can I add bytes to the rom?

Are you sure there isn't already a French version of this game?  The PC version (https://www.gog.com/game/pirates_gold_plus) is definitely available in French.

This thread suggests it should be easy to expand a Megadrive/Genesis ROM, but if you're adding new text, it might be difficult to get the program to read text from an entirely different part of the ROM.

Do you need more space for text, or do you need to add more characters to the font? Those are two different things.
