Title: Advice on a simple WipEout 64 romhack.

Hello!
I'm totally new to romhacking (aside from playing them, of course), and I'm new to this forum.

I'm looking to make a simple romhack of WipEout 64.  A "Revised Sound Edition" of sorts.  Wherein I swap out some of the voice samples and a few of the sound effects for some from WipEout XL/2097, and others that were in the WipEout 64 data, but were not used.  This is in an effort to bring this game more in line with the series as a whole.

Ideally, I'd like to make this into a patch that people can apply to their roms.

I WILL be reading the documents listed in the "Getting Started" post, but I figured I'd start a thread here too, in case anyone has any pertinent advice.

When you finish your romhack you can use Lunar Ips (https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/240/l) to generate the patch file and upload it here.
