Title: Alundra (PS1) - widescreen hack
Post by: paul_met on March 18, 2018, 02:47:51 am
This hack provides support for widescreen image (16:10) without distortion of any sprites proportions (HUD, characters, special effects, etc.).
Warning!!! This hack does not work correctly on the original hardware or Mednafen emulator core. Use PS1 emulators like ePSXe or PCSX-R for various platforms.

Main features:
Note: Due to lack of RAM, the background of the buildings on the roof of the palace in the final location “Lake Shrine Interior” is not displayed. You can only see the sky.

To expand full viewing area of the screen you need to activate special fix "shows the full area in Capcom fighters" in Pete's or P.E.Op.S. PSX video plugins settings.
On the video demonstration below you can see comparation of normal and widescreen mode.

I do not recommend using Mednafen for this hack. The result will be the same as on real hardware.

So... any retroarch core capable of running this hack?

It only works with the NTSC-U version, I see.

Still thanks for this.
