SCIV: "even making glitches into interesting mechanics."
I lost interest when I saw this. Maybe you could make a non-glitch version too?

FFIX: "Later in the game evasion, magic evasion, and status immunities have been altered"
Does this and lower damage make battles longer overall or just some of them?

I had to quit playing that CV IV hack too cause I didn't know the glitches. Didn't even beat the first stage. Of course I could use a password or stage select but I'd eventually hit brick walls in those too I'm sure.

o_O hmmm...that castlevania: SoTN boss mode hack...if all that was changed was boss hp then couldn't that be done via cheat engine when playing the game (emulated copy obviously)? just find the boss hp during the fight and set it abnormally high and voila, same results set as high as you want.

RHDN already has several hacks that could be done easily using a cheat device (example (http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/845/)).

A lot of stuff can be done with a cheat editor. They're surprisingly versatile. Unless the hack involves direct replacement or severe rewriting of the code, of course... I'd wager prolly... 60% of the hacks that do not need replacement or mega rewriting here could be done with a cheat editor.

What i'm saying is the statement "it could have been made with a cheat editor" is incredibly vague.

Some N64 hacks are available as gameshark codes actually. You have to use a program to transfer all the codes over cause it can be hundreds of lines of code. Some of the Goldeneye hacks are like this I believe.

About the Pokémon Crystal hack, the submitter should put the documents along with the IPS (http://tppdevs.com/crystal.html). They are a important source of information for the hack. ;)
