That moveset update looks interesting.  Does it also update what level everything is learned at to be close as possible?  I wonder how liberties were taken (such as relearner moves, making up for nonexisting moves, etc.)

I'd put the idea into Fire Red or Emerald, but there are bases nowadays that make most of the whole deal possible already with new moves. (which is one reason why I decided to aim for events of the generation the game took place in instead, no one delves into there much outside of Wish Blissey. :P)

ShinyGold Sigma is based on the legendary Mod made by Zel?

I think this is the first time one of my hacks had a pic on the page update. Nice.

I know nothing about this hack, but I know only one SG exists (technically 2 counting X.)

Maybe it's a incomplete Mod that isn't hosted here?

the castlevania hack makes the HUD much more pleasing to the eyes

took a bit of searching to find the correct rom it needed tho, otherwise the changes wont apply correctly

Does that Twinkle Tale hack work with the Twinkle Tale translation? (Does the order of application even matter?)

Nope, the main hack itself (http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/1605/) is definitely here!  Some wouldn't know though, for the longest time it was marked as a Pokemon Red hack instead of FireRed.  :o

It is indeed incomplete however; I know Liquid Crystal at least has far overrun it when it comes to GSC remakes but the goals are different (more like an HGSS "demake" I think).  Crystaldust is... somewhere close to SG's point at least and still going, last I checked.

Geeze, there's just no stopping those FFIII hacks, is there?

Liquid Crystal is a lot more than just an HGSS demake, there are a lot of new routes, new areas where you can find Pokemon from later gens, and such. That said, there's also a ton of original character do not steal, out-of-character profanity ("Prof. Elm: What the hell was that?"), and tilesets lifted directly from the original GBC with no edits, all of which kind of cheapen the whole experience. Crystal Dust is much better and more faithful, IMO.

I agree without a doubt.
Crystal Dust sure is much more faithful and pleasing in both visual and audio quality than Liquid Crystal.

I'd pick Crystal Dust anytime even though it still doesn't have Kanto available.
Can't wait for that Beta 3 release. :P

That Wrecking Crew '98 SMW hack is grossly mislabeled  :(.

Not to mention it has absolutely nothing todo with Wrecking Crew ‘98 even though its "inspired" by it, or even worse, its not even good hack as far as SMW hacks go. ::)

I wouldn't really call them "hacks" as much as "fixes" or "edits" of code.

The game has been so popular for so long that it only makes sense there would be people out there that nitpick every nuance of it's coding, making these "fixes" and "edits" lo so many years later.

I wouldn't really call them "hacks" as much as "fixes" or "edits" of code.

In fact, my four hacks released here are not patches, but customizable ASM file that are primary aimed for hackers to allow greater and easier customization of the game with help of tables and such. I leave the full hacks and bugfixes to other people.

I also think when you do these kind of ASM hacks you have to offer an interesting avenue or aspect to allow modification because one could easily multiple to inifinite little "ASM tweaks" as I call them compared to a single full hack or limited number of bugs in the game.
