About:
Sacred Line Genesis is a brand new adventure game which was developed exclusively for the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis videogame system.
It tells the story of Ellen, a private detective, who is trying to survive in Eastern Europe. Lately detective business, which she inherited from her missing sister Sarah, almost ceased its existence and one day before she was going to close her office she got an anonymous call. The unknown asked her to find some hidden forest outpost and told her about its position. That was just the beginning.
Features:
- High quality 3D graphics (highly recommended to play on CRT TV)
- WAV soundtrack (which sounds like a GBA output, it also won't be slow for PAL users)
- Unique and memorable setting, story and environments
- Text-based dice fighting system (ideally you need a dice...but you can also play without it)
- More than 20 endings: normal, secret and deaths, deaths, deaths
- Don't be frustrated: if you die, you'll start from the last checkpoint
- In-game enclyclopedia will help you learn more about characters
- Any buyer will be added to a special list: it means you will get discounts and special bonuses for all further products. Money is support and support will not be forgotten.

----------------- SACRED LINE ZERO PROTOTYPE --------------------
Sacred Line Zero Prototype Is Now Available For Everyone.
This is a 2015 April draft which was revised by me today (April 10 2018) before making it public. Fixed many text parts and fixed some crashes.
It shows about 10-15% of the game, overall it was supposed to be at least 2-3 times bigger than Sacred Line Genesis.
The gameplay of the prequel was inspired by Divi-Dead (1998). There are more interaction options and I tried to add an open-world feel to gameplay using direction choices.

Is this using the same programming that the Silent Hill Genesis game uses? They seem to look the same.

Not "Programming". The same engine (GINCS).
Ohh! Can't wait till it's done! ;D love these type of games especially with this sort of setting, keep up the great work man
Somehow on Genesis it looks 1000 times better than on emulator.

Since at least ONE man is interested, will upload rom with alpha version today or tomorrow.
One of these days we will get that homebrew section (http://www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php/topic,15604.20.html) up and going. That would be the perfect place to put this title on display for all! I love to see things like this. They are few and far between, so when they do happen, it's a nice treat. It's looking very nice! :)
Agreed! These types of projects are a special kind of awesome.
ROM with alpha (version 0.1a), for private testing only:
http://www.mediafire.com/?x23rjcd1pjx5x4a
It has about 5 minutes of "gameplay" as well as two bad endings (run away or don't take the flashlight to see them) and one normal (it says "this is the end of current version").
Audio may have some crackling, it's an "official" software bug. Did my best to exterminate all the bugs and grammar errors (if there's still any, they will be corrected later).

I look forward to that :-)

666 Mega Memory! Ooooohhhhh...... evil...... :P
Actually inserted this "666Megamemory" just for fun, as a parody of early Genesis releases. The final cover will be different, but for now it's a good variant. :)
My game on GINCS - "Racer (http://romhacking.ru/load/34-1-0-236)" v1.2 [SMD] (port "Safecracker").

Ya know, its not nice to hijack someone else's topic. I suggest making your own.
GINCS Visual Studio 1.7.0 is out (http://emulation.at.ua/publ/developing/sega_megadrive_genesis/gincs_studio/11-1-0-71). Now you can remove that weird lines above and under images.
This looks great! I always enjoy seeing Mega Drive projects, and do love horror! Well definitely be checking this out later :)
News and progress so far:
- Description is changed, new screenshot added
- Graphical improvement (see below comparison images), also the game now is based on a new version of original game with upgraded graphics
- Audio crackling is no more
- 80% of game is finished. Left 20% is about extended ending and new scenes/events (+ maybe music), I need to make some new 3d scenes and write new plot lines for them
- Release scheduled for Autumn 2013
- Beta will be available only for two users which I'll choose as beta testers
- Demo for the final version will be available for everybody
- The game will be released digitally (with a strong recommendation to use via flash carts) as a combo standard package (which will contain ROM, manual (.pdf), full artwork, original soundtrack (in .mp3 and .flac) and bonus images) and "You're The Part of This" package (which will contain everything from standard one plus special ROM with your own name or nickname inside the game).
- All buyers also will get additional free addon for the game month later. It will be a short story about one of the antagonists (Matriarchatter).
- Estimated price is 4.99$ for the standard package and 10$ for the "You're The Part of This" package
- If I'll somehow find Chinese pirates' contact and they will not try to rip me off, a physical version will be available too (but only 500 copies). As far as I know, they will not try to release it by themself after release
Graphical changes via Kega Fusion 3.64 (old vs. new):
(http://i5.pixs.ru/storage/2/5/6/game003jpg_6453642_8558256.jpg)(http://i.imgur.com/JzksaaIl.jpg) (http://imgur.com/JzksaaI)

The after pics look so much better. You can see the skin tone on the woman, for example.
Nice, how many colors are you able to show at once in this?
New alpha version 0.2a (forgot to change the header though):
http://www.mediafire.com/download/k4vwpwf4wj01y6r/sacred_line_genesis_0.2_alpha.bin
A little bit more of a story, improved graphics, grammar/spelling errors fixed, audio files renamed to "z_" which should prevent crackling.
I hope it's working fine, my Everdrive is out of order so it wasn't tested on hardware. It is the last alpha for public share, the next upload will be a demo for the release version.
The game is finished. Everything I mentioned before is implemented too: checkpoints, fighting system, I even added in-game encyclopedia.
I also have about ~300kb left in the "ROM" so maybe I'll add a bonus campaign into it (which I planned to release separately), which will be specifically fighting-oriented.
Porting of the graphics is a total hell to do though, so I'll think more about it.

Glad to hear it's done and almost released, great job!
First post is now heavily upgraded, final demo is uploaded which is proofread by Watermelon staff. It shows all features and will end after fight with a skeleton.
I'll try to release it before Halloween, just need to make an manual. If you're interested to buy, download the demo and decide for yourself. If you're in, write me a message.
It actually was going to be released by Watermelon on cartridges, they also helped with grammar/spelling mistakes to make it more polished, but in the end their programmer/producer declined it because of the WAV system.
If someone here knows how to stop playback of WAVs immediately, your help will help to release this game on carts.
So, there will not be a free download other then the demo?
13th post, huh.
