I was ALMOST interested in that Megaman hack, until I read "The music was imported from Mega Man 2/Rockman 2. 2 songs are from MM1. "

^ Then, are you MORE interested in that Bugs Bunny hack? It should have been released on Ba--*ehrm* I-ITT this is the first time I see a pervy hack here! What gives, Admin?!

We don't want to be like Apple and impose our morals on everybody else. So all hacks have to meet the same criteria, most pervy hacks fail in the completeness department as they just replace a handful of graphics and nothing else. But if a hack remakes a whole game, by our guidelines it can be uploaded here. If the hack is truly bad quality, make it known by writing a review. If you don't like such hacks on general principle, don't download them.

That earthbound hack was almost completely unnecessary.  The original untouched ROM works perfectly, and has no "ZERO" in the name either.  The only reason the rom was hacked was to fix it on Nesticle, which nobody should be using anymore.

I guess the only purpose for removing "ZERO" from the hacked Earthbound ROM is for other hackers to make hacks of Earthbound, and not have a piracy check to deal with.

No. I just am a huge fan of Megaman overhalls like Rockman No Constancy and Rockman 4: Minus Infinity where there is new music remixed from other games. (The later kind of had questionably cheerful music.) I don't like it when hacks just use music from other Megaman NES games. I feel like "Why did they even bother?" Maybe because I really like hearing the remixes. Also... I wish I could find the Peercast games. I'd really like to hear the music in those games.

Yeah, I kind of feel like a lot of hackers, even a novice could have done the same.

Yeah, I know. It's somewhat silly, but something that's always bothered me.
And yes, it does work with other ROM hacks that use the ant-piracy check ROM, such as the uncensored patch and easy mode patch.

I was under the impression that RHDN didn't except Porn-O-Patches purely because it cripples any websites class/respect?
I mean, if morals can't be "imposed" then the site essentially has no morals/laws.

....though this is a perv hack of a NES game, I doubt it even matters...
However, the idea that "anything goes as long as it's complete" isn't exactly healthy.

We can deal with that once the time comes. I can't name off hand any sufficiently excessive patch otherwise meeting our criteria.

Anyway... Advance Wars patch allows German/Italian in the US rom too as my review notes.
Following it and Go Go Cosmo Cops, it'd be interesting to see how many more DS games have unused Japanese.

Yeah, I discovered that myself when it came up on the cutting room floor. I wasn't actually aware the German/Italian translations were blocked - but a re-review of the code revealed that to be the case...and the hack was basically just a disablement of any of the language blocking.

Glad it came out that way. :)

I Think putting up that Earthbound title screen hack is a waste if it is still the same game.

I don't think I want to know whatever compelled me to test those settings. Let alone mention it to you that quickly.

We have never rejected a hack solely because it was a Badder Hacks style hack. If it was rejected, it was because the entry wasn't up to standards, or the hack just changed one or two graphics. That. Simple.

The Panic in the Mushroom SMW hacks have hentai in them. Not lots of stuff but a few backgrounds have hentai images.
