Title: Translated Final Fantasy V SNES - 2.5MB question
Post by: Moothead on May 08, 2012, 11:23:27 am
I'm wanting to make a reproduction of this game so I can play it on my SNES but I'm wondering how to go about the 2.5MB rom size. Usually the roms are in multiples of 1MB but when spliting this rom you end up with a 512KB file and two 1MB files. I was wondering how do you go about doing this; is it 2 8MBit EPROMS and a single 4MBit EPROM and if so is the wiring the same? Also, can you double up the 512KB file and put in on an 8Mbit rom?

Thanks :).

Use LunarExpander and expand the rom to 24 Mbits (which will give you 3 MB, that you can then split to 3x1 MB).

If you use 16 Mbits eprom, expand the rom to 32 Mbits then split it in two which will give you 2x2 MB file.
