Title: SNES roms header
Post by: ze10 on February 18, 2012, 03:29:05 pm
Hi,

is there an utility that adds a header to a SNES rom? I used to use SNESTool, but I can't get it to work on Windows 7. =(

Thanks!

Never mind. I've found it. It's called SNEStuff

I don't think I've seen this utility in romhacking.net... Or maybe I didn't search correctly?

If we don't have it, perhaps you should submit it.

Or if you like, you could use a program called "DOSBox" to run SNESTool and other 16-32bit and DOS based programs. I really don't know why they removed support for these older programs in Windows 7.

Windows still supports console applications. It just doesn't support 16 bit applications on 64 bit builds.

Damn straight. I use batch files and command-line tools for most of my projects.
