DeadOne Walking

Just got a copy of this game in anticipation of your translation.

I always appreciate translation projects, and I am humbly waiting for this release.

Hello, the translation patch is available for everyone. You can find a link to the patch in the Gitlab repo, also OP has been updated a little bit to reflect the status of the project. Have no much left no say this time, and probably won't have for a while. Leave any reviews or comments here in this thread or open an issue in the repository.

Enjoy and be happy~ 👌

Special

Grats on the release, never heard of this until now. Some of those combat sprites (namely that green dragon one) are giving off a huge BoF3 vibe, so that's always a huge plus in my book, but everything else looks waaaay to cutesy-wootsy for my taste, I cannot even find a gameplay video of the game in action, so I wanna ask, how's it play, is it bog standard turn base? Is it linear, a screenshot I saw shows an "overworld-ish" looking like map that look similar to FF Tactics, so I'm guess very? What's the story about, is it grim dark, or power of love? Difficultly meter, where's it land in comparison to other games?

Also I notice you don't actually offer the detlax patch, just some custom patcher, might I suggest you offer both for those who do not like custom patchers/.bat files.

The archive does in fact include an xdelta3 patch (and a copy of the xdelta3 command-line patcher plus batch files to run it). It's not really a custom patcher.

The actual patch is in the vcdiff folder (vcdiff is the name of the standard on which xdelta is based on). You can just use that with your patcher of choice, like Delta Patcher, and forgo the included scripts entirely.

On that note, I've noticed that Delta Patcher gets a little wonky when the patch extension is anything other than .xdelta, so you might want to rename it first.

Ok Impala!

Congrats on the release! This looks great! You can see you put your heart into this one! :)

I was a bit confused when I saw this game appear on RHDN, as the translation page has the Japanese title. Any specific reason why the translation page isn't titled Nora and the Time Studio ?

Amazing, for the size of this game it must have so much content, I can't wait to play it(have only tested it so far). It seems to be high quality content. Thank you so much and I'll be playing it to its fully extent once I have finished SRT W, which will take a couple weeks tops.

So is it Nora, or Noora? Name seems to be.....inconsistent

The name in Japanese is ノーラ (Noora), but it appears (officially) translated as Nora in-game.

Thanks!

And it indeed appears as Nora and the Time Studio, that's the alternative title. The main title needs to be the original title.

Once again thanks a lot for this gorgeous game!  Just a question, because I'm aware this game was made by Etrian Odyssey personnel.  How difficult is it?  My expectations go around another hell of battles making me thrash my keyboard after unmerciful defeats

Variant

Thanks for this! Just got through my first play through and it's been super fun.

I started a PR on the GitLab repo with some typo fixes (with some assumptions on how the text reinsertion works). Hopefully it'll be of some use.

The Nora/Noora inconsistency is weird. The game is loaded with Finnish references, so Noora seems correct, but eh.

Thank you for the English translation, I don't know much about this game though. So how is it? is it good? the game looks a bit too "cute" for my taste, I want something darker but I do know that even "cute" games can have a pretty good story/gameplay so I will ask again, how good is it? :)

The game is short and it is intended to be completed several times to get all the different endings. The plot is really simple and relaxed. The gameplay and mecahnics are similar to those of the Atelier games, but less profound and diverse.

Thanks for updating the translation.

Btw, you should update the 1st post with the changelog/status of this update. ;)
