That's damn solid! Any bugs you know of?

I only tested the very first level while working on this hack and unfortunately it seems like when entering the second level the parts of the screen for players 3 and 4 black out. That might be something that can be worked around by using cheats/level selection... Definitely something I need to revisit at some point

I just released this hack for "Mystical Ninja 2 Starring Goemon" (aka Goemon's Great Adventure) on the N64:

It unlocks the secret 4-player coop mode from the get go without having to first beat the game and collect all 44 entry passes.

This is for the European version of the game. If anyone has a save (DexDrive or Project64) with that mode unlocked for the US or Japanese version of the game, send me a message! I'll make a patch for those versions as well

Any chance that this hack gets translated into English? I've been looking for a good SMW coop hack for awhile and this is by far the best one, but I don't speak Spanish

Love the 4 player Mario Bros hack, a dream come true, so much fun!

Made a version where 4th Mario is more properly colored (while keeping ice comb nicely colored), yes, angry enemies are now colored a bit strange but for picky 4th player can be nice

Overall - keep it up!
Maaaan I'd love to learn to make coop hacks, really. Hope one can make some tutorial on such.

EDIT: removed the download of my partial translation, use NesDraug's below. Note you need to use a headered SMW rom.

I went ahead translated the message boxes, after boss screens, and level names, but I don't have the knowledge to change anything else. In any case, they mostly just say what the vanilla game does with minor edits to account for the changes (no Yoshi, can't fly, Big Boos instead of Koopalings in castles, etc.).

I used Asar to import the old level names. Also I got rid of the Y on the start screen. I have no idea how to change the menu text tho

Well bloony made v 5.0 to work around glitches. But there are some imperfections. But that's all present in the original spanish version as well.

I played through the whole thing. Yes, there are glitches, but it's possible to play through the entire game as just Luigi, unlike any other SMW co-op hacks with him. Aside from what NesDraug said, sometimes a fake glitchy player will appear when you play single player. It will just die when it falls into a pit or hits an enemy and doesn't cause any gameplay issues. Sometimes the graphics will have minor glitches, but none that affect gameplay EXCEPT when some of the boos in the boo buddy circles become invisible, but can still hurt you. Oh, and a fake level appeared on the map in Forest of Illusion called AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA that can't be entered, but it kind of works as some kind of weird spooky thing.

Bloony Fox never specified what rom to use. I just guessed it was Super Mario World (USA). Here's the rom hasher info on the rom I used:

Failed for me at numerous attempts (and I dud successfully patch older versions)

Will try Europe one maybe.
