Fantastic to see Mystical Ninja receiving the fastrom treatment. Is it possible to apply this patch to the Japanese version of Mystical Ninja?

Keep up the great work!

In the future most likely, it's getting a lot of requests. Will be much easier when the bizhawk-diztinguish link happens!

In fact, my idea is to create a Super Mario All-Stars Fastrom hack. It really has been one of my favorite games and it really deserves a Fastrom hack.

Honestly I'd like to suggest Raiden Trad & Super Off Road. I really wanted to suggest SOS & Nosferatu, but both appear to be fastrom.

With that said, thank you kandowontu and everyone else involved. Every one of these hacks is greatly appreciated.

Quote from: JP32 on March 15, 2023, 10:15:27 AMaccording to the developer behind out of this world snes port, fastrom was 50cents more per cart(source)

Also from what I recall, in that era Nintendo only allowed developers place orders of 40,000 units or more. So that 50cents would cost them a minimum of $20,000 per order. Developing for Nintendo wasn't fun.

Its already done, check the master list

I'll keep those suggestions in mind!

Can you do FastRom for Seiken Densetsu 3 and Secret of Mana?

Seiken Densetsu 3 is already FastROM.

Maybe Axelay too? It's a neat shmup...

Poppler

Please, do Final Fight 3 and Magical Quest. The later one already has a patch but they added a horrible splash screen before the game starts.

Agreed, that splash screen is awful and so unecessary.

There is a Fastrom patch for Axelay, by Vitor Vitela.

Oh, that's great, hadn't seen it, thanks w1ck3d and Pethronos

Thanks for these awesome patches. I tried using the All Stars + World fastrom patch combined with the brick fix, but it crashes during SMB1. Didn't notice any crashes when using the regular All Stars brick fix combined with fastrom.

This issue is also confirmed. While Super Mario All Stars has no issue with fastrom and hack patches combined, Super Mario All Starts + Super Mario World does for the time being (meaning, as long as no one could tackle and fix this issue).  :'(

@kandowontu : I sweared to not have any fastrom suggestion for you, to let you take your breath back (as we all would like to see any single SNES game that needs it to become a fastrom and they are so many of them) but...oh damn, I would love to see all 3 Parodius games for Super Famicom (including the unique European version of Parodius DA!, named Parodius - Non-Sense Fantasy, so that would be "4" Parodius games, well, sort of) becoming fastrom and running without any slowdown (these are rare for Parodius yet sometimes occur, especially when all bells are released on screen at once)...even more, now that they are translated (or that Parodius Non-Sense Fantasy can run at 60 Hz NTSC correctly, for the only official English language release available on Big N machines).

I might be wrong here but I do not think that Pop'n Twinbee is LoRom (not certain of this though)...

SCD

Excellent job on all these FastROM patches, it's great to play all these classic SNES games with almost no slowdown.

I was wondering if it's okay if you can make a SA-1 patch for Super Fire Pro Wrestling X Premium, so the game will no longer have major slowdown when there's four wrestlers on screen on real hardware.

It already has FastROM, but it doesn't do anything with the issue I mentioned.

Kandowontu knows about this says anyone else who wants to take a crack at it can.

All parodius games are either SA-1 or fastrom already except Parodius Da! - Shinwa kara Owarai e which has already been converted to fastrom (you can find it here: https://archive.org/details/sfc-speedhacks

Sure its possible, but not by me. I don't do SA-1 conversions yet. I may never be able to.

Nothing I can do about that, they'd have to redo their patch for the fastrom version.

Final Fight 3 is fastrom already.

I think Algunar was speaking about having the european Parodius converted too  ;)

Correct indeed. Well, sort of...as I mentioned all three Parodius Japanese releases (which I did not know about two of them being fastroms already, nor the already available SA-1 version for Parodius Da!, sorry for this Kandowontu) and Parodius Non-Sense Fantasy European rom (only western release available of a Super Famicom Parodius Episode, so the only one to get an official release in English by Konami as well).

As Parodius Non-Sense Fantasy is the European release of Parodius Da! and since this one got an SA-1 treatment, I do have to assume that Parodius Non-Sense Fantasy is equally Lorom, as its Japanese counterpart is...so I remain in favour of a Parodius Non-Sense Fantasy fastrom version, possibly compatible with NTSC patches even...now this would be so great!  :P
