ucon64 DAT Files

I recently had to redownload a lot of the tools I use for ROM manipulation, things like LunarIPS, Beat, ROM Hasher, xDelta. The usual stuff one needs when applying ROM Hack patches.

And when I went to the ucon64 homepage...

https://ucon64.sourceforge.io/

...I find that the two external links...

 https://emulationrealm.net/

and

http://www.gbadat.altervista.org

where one can download other .DAT files the tool can use no longer works.

So I came in here asking if anybody knows where I can get a hold of .DAT files for Gameboy, Gameboy Color and GBA Games that will work for ucon64? I tried the ones that came with ROM Hasher but ucon64 doesn't recognize those sadly.

Reason for Edit - Addendum:

That's odd. The link from the ucon64 page for Emulation Realm doesn't work when I click on it there. But it does here on this post I made. ???

And I can't find the ones I need for ucon64.

Have you already tried looking up the relevant pages at archive.org ?

Thanks for the suggestion

After doing a search for ucon64 I did locate a "backup" of the site dated 2016 with copies of the older ucon64 builds on it as well as the .DAT files the site hosts itself. But those external links however...

the first one that links to Emulation Realms doesn't work and the other one redirects to the no-intro.org site.

So then I thought maybe I can use one of the downloads from there. But still no dice. ucon64 and more specifically the frontend for it flags the .DAT file I downloaded from no-intro as an unrecognized console even though the DAT File itself is called Nintendo-Gameboy Color.dat  :banghead:

Not sure what goodtools is up to these days but might do something as well

That said if I was in your position I would probably just adapt to whatever tool worked with the no-intro dats.

Thanks for the links man

I guess I'll just not rely on .DATs files for Gameboy (Regular, Color or Advance) anymore for ucon64 for now. Besides I only use the tool for "fixing" ROMs that get messed up when applying Hack patches. Things like checksums getting messed up or in the case of GBA games when the Logo data gets messed up.

I use ROM Hasher for checking the needed base game ROM/s for hacks I download anyway.

Again thanks to you two guys for helping out, very much appreciate it  :)

For GBA ROM bothering then
GBATA from
http://web.archive.org/web/20220430175918/https://no-intro.org/tools.htm (they appear to have lost this page in the recent reshuffle) and if you end up on DS then that too.
and for some homebrew (early on it was thought the header might be a problem, this despite sega vs accolade being a thing long before then, and thus shipped without a proper one)
