Hate to crush your dreams, but I've already been told that 99% of ideas in this thread are ignored - think of it as a shout into the void.

You're free to request as many ideas as you want on here, just don't sincerely hope/pray that they'll be fulfilled.

Speaking of which, I don't need the S2 spindash added to lory1990's Sonic 1 hack anymore. I've decided to label the mcginnis "bugfix" hacks for Sonic 1 and 2 as my preferred versions of those games. They may not fix as many bugs as lory1990's hacks, but not only do I get the S2 spindash in Sonic 1 like I wanted, but also no speed caps and a flying/swimming/carrying Tails to boot! Combining this with Sonic 3 Complete and Sonic CD++'s Option Select patch, and I've pretty much got my definitive classic series!

My only gripe is that Knuckles is (right now) too buggy to add to Sonic 2. Hopefully mcginnis will return and finish that version of the hack, but the vanilla hack is enough to keep me satisfied.

Quote from: Antonio Nero on July 10, 2022, 11:20:55 AMI have found a YouTube playlist with many Final Fantasy 5 bugs that could be fixed (some of them, as the two Galuf, are already fixed): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCAgpzj87174au25CNvhqem932t3EyOVc

This forum is huge, so I say sorry if it is a re-post.
Some bugs like the lost airship/chocobo are also fixed.
Maybe I manage to fix some for the next versions of FF V Tweaks.

There are some ideas that would be nice but users that read them don't know how to hack roms for the console/game. :(

HDpack for NES Popeye, at 3x size, using edits of the arcade sprites.

Looking back at the PSP Digimon game, I wonder if someone were to find a way to replace Ophanimon with Holy/MagnaDramon for Tailmon/Gatomon's final form. I mean I remember some people in the Digimon community were complaining about which was her final form and giving them the option to have this Mega would probably ease some tension. However, I feel that this might not happen, consdering the latter Mega Digimon would need a new model set and everything, which takes too much time for anyone. Just thought I'd ask

Would probably be a huge undertaking, but I would LOVE to see Mega Man The Wily Wars, and the fan made Sequel Wars ported over to the SNES. Maybe using the Mega Man 7 engine.

A nice idea, but definitely not something that would happen overnight. You'd need a full disassembly of Wily Wars and a person— or, preferably, multiple people— with a good understanding of both the Genesis and SNES hardware, who is/are capable of translating code for one console with into code for another with different graphics and audio hardware and a weaker processor. (If you thought the slowdown in Wily Wars was bad before...)

To put things into perspective, the Sonic hacking community is so big that we've got multiple full disassemblies of the Genesis games floating around, and nobody's even tried to port them to the SNES (though the topic's come up a few times, it's never gotten very far). It's a big deal.

I think the biggest thing is that it would need to be accurate to the NES games in gameplay more than being a direct port of the Genesis game.

Yeah, true. I'd rather just have the levels remade and the bosses replaced with the 4-6 Robot Masters and have a Wily Wars 2 for Genesis, at this point.

Thing is with Wily Wars, the firing rate change even with the 60hz speed hack changes the game way too much. Maybe that's why I didn't mind the changes (with the brick fix of course) made for Super Mario All-Stars. Also the sound effects on Genesis when I'm so used to the NES never sounded right to me.

Maybe a better idea is make an NES version of Wily Tower.

Idea for the ultimate Battle Arena Toshinden GB hack:
→ All characters unlocked from the start
→ Easy Commands as an Option
→ Fast CPU as an Option
→ Jet/Turbo Mode as an Option (checks if the game is being played on a SGB before becoming available)
→ Scorcher Mode as an Option
→ Colorization Hack which also includes all the above (with Jet/Turbo Mode not requiring SGB)

Hello, My name is GeorgeGoose and I have an idea that I need help with. I've been practicing blindfolded Mike Tyson's Punch-Out and I think it could really use a romhack that adds codes for the other fights in the game. If you're familiar at all with NES games you'll know that you use codes to get your progress back. The issue with Punch-Out is that there are 14 fights in the game and very few have codes. What that means for runners who want to practice specific fights is that if you want to practice a fight that doesn't have a code then you have to put in the code closest to that fight and then beat all of the opponents leading up to them. For example, if I want to practice Piston Honda, the third fight of the game, then I'd have to fight Glass Joe and then Von Kaiser first before fighting him, and that happens every single time. And therefore I would like a romhack made that adds codes for the other fights in the game, that way myself and other runners can practice on original hardware more efficiently. However, I know nothing about romhacking so I need someone with understanding and experience to make it happen. If you're interested just add me on discord at GeorgeGoose#4942.

Respectfully,
GeorgeGoose

Super Punch-Out!! (Super Nintendo): A hack that will add these sprite fixes to the game, they were done by VictorManuelMR:

Retrolife

A long overdue one is a TNG rom hack Snes/Genesis were u can play as the Lower Deckers(from the new animated series)

FAST6191

While free to request things, the 16 bit Star Trek is not the worst (though I did play one on a "home computer" once that was actually not bad at all) and finding Star Trek fans around here is probably not a great ask (if you are inclined to edit ROMs of 8-16 bit games you played in variously formative years then fondness for Star Trek is not great shocker should it happen*) I would have to wonder how many that meet those requirements would not find lower decks an affront to all that was ever good with Star Trek.

*in before we discover actually it is Dune that is the good stuff for people around here.

Original Pitfall NES and New Graphics Pitfall 30th Anniversary Edition is Awesome! But the game is really hard, frustrating, without having any life bars. I always thought a hack could give three simple bars of life before the killing hit! I ask you if anyone is at a hacking level capable/able of making this change to the game. I look forward to a kind reply guys, have a nice day! Frank.

Hello, would there be a volunteer to create an uncensored version of final fight arcade

CPS1 Final fight ( world ) set 1 ffight.zip

I know that there is a 30 th anniversary version that restores the elements of the Japanese version in addition to the 3 player mode.

But as a purist I love the principle of restoring graphic or textual elements that are either deleted or modified.

Maybe copying the gfx from the jap version or from the hack 30 th version would be possible.

Thanks in advance for those who will read this message.

Hello, sorry for the double post above.

My request would be for the usa version of final fight cd.

Will there be a volunteer this version to restore the censored graphic elements.

I know that the Japanese version of final fight cd is in English except for the introduction when the speaker is speaking.

I will give my arguments this version USA and probably the Pal Version which is a derivative 50 hrz.

During the stage with the confrontation with two hugo the crowd is static in the Japanese version and animated in the USA version seen in the 15 minutes 58 seonde of this video nothing to have with the hack pyron it is like that in the original Japanese version.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISnASLSrCq0&t=996s.

Also to have the speaker speaking English during the intro seems more immersive to me.

I thank you all.
