After looking at the translated games out from here, I just realized something: There's this PC Engine/Turbographx game that definitely could use a overhaul/retranslation as well. It's the Keith Courage game that was originally the Mashin Hero Wataru game. I mean the game could use a bit of updated translations and all that.

I've seen hacks that change the direction locking it to the direction of the jeep, how hard would a hack letting you cycle through the 4 directions be by pressing select?

I've replayed a bit of Sonic Spinball, and I really had wished that the other Sonic characters actually had a chance to be unlockable playables (or at least Tails & Knuckles being playable in the game). It would've been interesting to see how their own unique abilities would work on this game (also I wonder if the Robotnik sprite can be changed to look more like  his Sonic SatAM or AOSTH counterpart, considering this game was made in America).

I can't believe I never thought of a "Legend" game! I loved that movie to pieces, a game would be so awesome! Zelda II seems like it would be a great base for that too.  :cookie:  :cookie:  :cookie:

For my own idea, I thought it would be cool to convert Final Fantasy IV into a Star Wars game or a hybrid since the story is already half way there anyway. It seems like you could do the original trilogy all at once too, re-tooling the moon into the Death Star, the underworld into Hoth, etc.

Lol Glad I'm not the only one who thought the same. I would make the game but I previously mentioned I don't know how to make hacks. That's why I joined this website cuz I'm so brand new at this. But I hope I'll become good at it with this site's tips. I have tons of other ideas for games (based on movies) that don't exist. Cheers

Fatal Labyrinth needs bug fixing.

List of bugs:

- Equipping two bows consecutively, gives 99 armour
- Each time a bow is equipped, the Armour parameter goes down of 1 point
- The pit cane doesn't show the pit in a level, it make appear a pit in a random tile. That pit is ineffective.
- Equipping a Power Ring or an Armour Ring, dropping a not equipped ring of any kind and re-equipping the already equipped power/armour ring makes the character Power or Armour parameter to rise. Don't know if it is really effective and the number corresponds the actual parameter.
- The equipped effect rings as Health, Food, Power and Armour results not equipped for unknown reasons. One of them is discard another ring, but others still unknown.
- Dropping an equipped weapon, makes the bare hand attacks strong as the discarded weapon but with a rate of hit and miss similar the sword's.
- Sometimes the enemies act as they are regular with some chaos status. This effect is sometimes triggered when a Chaos Potion was thrown against one of them, and the effect starts in the next levels.
- Equipping cursed weapons as Blood Sword, Skull Lance and Golden Axe and using a Weapon Power-up scroll on them, makes these weapons overpowered, killing the enemies in one or two hits.
- Sometimes armours lose their protective points. It is not visible, but in some plays the character loses more energy than other plays.
- Three numerals damage is not displayed in the English versions. Full visible in the Japanese one.


Maybe not bugs:

- Dropping a regular weapon/armour to the ground and picking it again could make that weapon/armour cursed. Dropping it again make that weapon/armour regular. It does not affect unknown weapons/armours.
- Axes become useless after the 5th level, making a lot of miss attacks in comparison with the damage inflicted when they hit.
- Even legendary weapons/armours can be cursed.
- One of the levels have an area were objects never appear. Enemies can appear there though: Fatal Labyrinth map no object area

Maybe there are others (the game is heavily bugged) but I don't remember them right now, despite a play this game for years.

Hi, some time ago I patched a load of PCE games with cheats using the Game Genie Guy (GGG) which was really easy and gave me all the cheats I wanted to use in the games I selected, I've now just started to play some PC Engine CD-Rom games and would like to play them all the way through with invincibilty on, does anyone know if GGG can also patch the PC Engine's CD-Rom games?!

If so can someone create the codes needed so GGG can produce patched versions of the games below, if not then can someone show me how to play these games with immunity so I can play them all the way through without losing my weapons, the PC Engine emulator I'm using is TurboEngine16 for CD-Rom games,...I've been using Ootake for It's HuCard games up until this point.

Playing thru Chakan: The Forever Man on Genesis.  I know there's an "Ultimate Chakan" mod that changes a few things, but I feel like it maybe makes the game too easy or otherwise breaks it.  So here are my suggestions for improving the game ( idk how difficult these would be to implement ):

Dragonfly Riding - Edit collisions so that you don't get knocked off by hitting the ground or ceiling.  This is one of the most frustrating elements of the game and would improve this section immensely. 

Enemy Spawning - There are sections where enemies just continuously spawn ( the dragonfly riding level, the phoenixes that keep coming in fives in the lava world, etc ).  I think it would really help if there was some way to extend the timeframe for enemy respawns rather than removing it altogether.  A 30-second delay might work.

Spider Queen Level 3 ( of the first world ) - 2 spiders are immediately coming at you at the beginning and so you have to already be holding diagonal-down attack before the level even starts.  Not a huge gripe and it is kind of funny, but cmon lol.

I'm sure there's more I could think of / find later.  The game also just has poor hit detection overall, but I'm not sure how fixable that is.  Chakan is a really cool game, but some of the aforementioned stuff is what I would consider the most game-breaking and likely to cause people to want to smash the cart or controller.

So i never knew there was a street fighter 2 hack that added 2 characters. Since the skills of mugen sprites have gotten so good maybe some hardcore Street Fighter hacker can add Ryo and Takuma in Street Fighter 2? Or Dan and Gouken?

Hi all!! I don't know if many of you are aware of the existence of optimization hacks for Rockman 4, 5 & 6 by Puresabe.

I'm not a hacker but I think that MM4 & 5 deserve optimized versions for their US versions (MM6 is dispensable because the Jap to Eng translation by Her-Saki).

Would be there around a talented hacker that feel like porting these hacks to be US compatible??
