The first few Screens, Samus now has a red palette and spawns on the Ship, refined the surface tiles and its palette.

Lovely work Mind,plus I think the red sprite of Samus looks better than the purple to be honest,anyways I can't wait to see what you reveal next? :)

I am new to Gifcam and with this I set the fps maybe a bit too high, thus the fast speed.

Samus looks good, but the gunship feels too big.
Could it be scaled down?

It was loooong work to bring it over from Super Metroid (means pixel by pixel, making it function with NES's limited palette, assigning enough tiles to it (almost an entire CHR page,...). Samus is quite a lot bigger in Super Metroid, so it makes for another proportion.
I have no plan to change the Spaceship Sprite, sorry. I would have to do it from scratch and had to get rid of this piece of work, which I'm not gonna do, but i see where you're coming from.

I actually really liked the purple/blue palette. Is a color change in the cards for later acquired suits?

Sure. Depends a bit on the color scheme of the surroundings, and what suits and contrasts these well. Suit and palette are a set for each area. Also, the transition between suits will be during the area transition (= while you ride the elevator), keep that in mind.

I liked the dark blue/Grey suit palette as well but I find the red definitely gives a better contrast in this given situation.

I'm producing a lot of audio output over time, obviously not all tracks can make it into the game. The pool of tracks is growing bigger and bigger, so one of the things this hack will have for certain is a fleshed out bgm soundtrack, using the old Metroid Sound Engine.

Quick news, wanna bring Space Jump into the Game. I gave it a shot via a basic asm hack. It works, but needs polish still. As is, it's too op and would certainly break the game. So, the mechanic will be tweaked, plus i will restrict its use, maybe for underwater portions, plus you need to find the suitable upgrade first.

Hey David,
the Wall Jump is already in the Game!
That's the main reason i wanna restrict the Space Jump in its use (underwater alcove or something similar), to make Wall Jump still worthwhile.
