I wouldn't say 99%, some ideas were picked up eventually just as long its reasonable. It would be nice though if there was a custom color shade over a post to indicate the idea was picked up at some point.

Though for real I think shutting down the topic is the better choice, I never did like this topic for a very long time now because of the stigma attached to it.

There must be a better way to tackle ideas than throwing things into the wind here.

And how else do you pretend to get all those questions without flooding the entire forum?

Besides, the best way to make an idea come true is to start learning and making it yourself. Be grateful when other people make those ideas a reality, for free [they require time and effort].

PS: To answer your question with something more practical, there's other place to do your questions tho. Try finding fan groups with other patches of the games you have ideas for and ask there because they will be more interested hence they are more likely to do it.

I've only recently discovered a love for the PC-FX and I have wondered if the games there like the Tenchi game can get some needed translation love. I know Return to Zork (I've heard that game has English dialogue, but the text is all JP) might need one too as well.

EDIT: Nevermind. Tried the Return to Zork game and it does have Japanese dialogue for the most part after all.

Hello everyone! I don't know if I'm the right place to ask this question but, is there an English translation for Gdleen on the Super Famicom? If not, it could be a cool project to work on.

Hi everyone, I'm new on the forum. My favorite retro console is, without a doubt, the SNES, but as much as I love this console, I know that there are many games that need to be fixed, all of these are based more on optimization to suppress slowdowns, I will leave some ideas here to implement FASTROM, SA-1 or SuperFX virtual chip.

1. Gun Force: Battle Fire Engulfed Terror Island. This is a short run n´ gun arcade game, the SNES port is very slow. The importance of creating an optimization patch so that this SNES port can work similar to the arcade version lies in the importance of its legacy, because this and the sequel were the basis for what would later be Metal Slug.

2. Magic Sword: Another great hack n' slash game that was born in the arcade thanks to Capcom. The SNES port is quite decent, it's true that the main character is slower, but it doesn't bother me, I think that speed feels more real for a human. What I do consider necessary is to create a patch that eliminates the slowdowns that the game has at certain times.

3. Nightmare Busters: A great run n´gun game whose arcade style cannot go unnoticed. It is a game that I have no complaints about, but I think it needs to incorporate a little more text to tell the story, since the official version released in 2013 doesn´t have this, I think that these text boxes can be added on the image sequences that always appear at the beginning of each level. Another detail that I would like to suggest with this game is fix the game in general, because it tends to crash or freeze suddenly, this happens in real hardware and emulators, thus forcing the player to have to restart it.

Thank you very much to all for this opportunity to provide suggestions.

I am a spanish speaker, and another thing I would like to suggest (although I don't know how possible this is), is to be able to extract audio files from PS2 or Xbox PAL games that are dubbed in spanish and place them in Gamecube NTSC or PAL games through patches, this due to that many multiplatform games of that time didn´t have their respective spanish dubbing on Gamecube, only PS2 and Xbox had them (and it´s another sad reason why the Gamecube was underappreciated on spanish speaker community). For example, Spartan: Total Warrior is a very underrated hack n´slash SEGA game whose dubbing in spanish is wonderful but which sadly doesn´t have this on Gamecube. Batman Begins is another exmaple. I can assume that doing things like this is very difficult or maybe impossible, but I think it would not hurt to ask, after all, the romhacking community has always done great things and the Gamecube needs more love too.

Could someone fix the excessive controls sensitivity of NES Poké Tetris?

This just popped into my head, a SMB2 hack with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles & Amy.

Replace Wart with Dr. Eggman.  :D

AKA Dr. Robotnik.

You know, I actually like "Robotnik" better than "Eggman", because with "Eggman" I think of the Beatles song "I Am the Walrus" or Egghead from the campy 1960s Batman live-action series.

Game: Blue Stinger (Dreamcast)

Hack Request: 2-player mode

Info: Blue Stinger is a single player game that has two playable characters, Eliot Ballade and Dogs Bower. In the game you switch between characters, but I am requesting a hack that involves both characters being able to be on screen together during gameplay (co-op style gameplay, one plays as eliot, while the other plays dogs) it might be better to hack the JP version as in the American version, it follows behind the character in a 3rd person view point, but in the JP version the camera is fixed like an old Resident Evil game, which would allow for easier movement for the characters without one being lost because of the NTSC camera.

MD_Prometh

On that note, an uncensored hack for Blue Stinger would be nice, the US release had some censorship. Maybe port the English text over to the Japanese version?

I like this thread. It scratches an itch so the itch is no longer there.

IDEA: Hack Zelda 1 to be Zelda 2

Hack the top down Zelda to be its own NES sequel, Zelda II. Recreate the dungeons, the towns, the NPC dialogue, the items, the bosses, the puzzles, etc., but in the top down style of Zelda Ichi. We already have NPCs in caves, so just hack the caves to be houses, change the graphics, recreate "I am Error", etc., basically remake the whole of Zelda Deux using the first game.

Hello everyone! I wish there was a hack that changes the speed in Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo game to MAME arcade version. The speed ''TURBO 0" could be the same as in Super Street Fighter 2, which is without frame skip. There is even a "CHEAT" in mame that does this, but I wish there was a rom that came with this ready. it should be a simple thing to do for those who are skilled at editing roms. Thank you.

A re-translation of Metalhawk's Treasure Hunter G in the style of the work on Magic Knight Rayearth (including the chicago's font) made by mziab's team would be a NICE addendum/hack to see.

So I wasn't the only one that noticed that issue, I prefer the normal speed from Super Street Fighter II. Hyper Street Fighter II's Turbo 0 setting uses the one from SSFII, so I think It's possible to do same for Super Turbo. I also wish the AI could be toned down a little.
